This is my first RC build. When i launch the plane, it seems to take a hard left with its nose down eventually hitting ground.

@anuragmaurya15,

My sympathies.

But I’m reminded of a question I often ask newcomers.
“If you wanted to learn how to ride a bicycle, would you start by building your own design bicycle?”

Learning to fly RC, and building an own successful design are two entirely different things.
Don’t mix them up.

To learn to fly, there are dozens of proven models available.
To learn to build, there are hundreds of designs available.

Please take a look at
1. Flitetest.com
2. Outerzone.co.uk

Even these two threads may help
http://www.rcindia.org/kites-trains-free-flight-and-all-others/2nd-chuck-lunchbox/
http://www.rcindia.org/free-donations-and-sweepstakes/next-contest-20second-flight/

Best wishes

Greetings, Anurag Maurya.
From the given data I guess I can safely conclude that your propeller is spinning in the clockwise direction when viewed from the cockpit. This direction of rotation generates a gyroscopic effect which causes the nose to dip while taking a left turn (which your plane is doing automatically upon its tossing into the air). To counter this I would recommend that you provide your propeller a bit of right trust and also up thrust. Provided that your plane meets other aerodynamic factors to attain flight, this fix should do the job. Cheesy

It should rotate clockwise when viewed from the cockpit.

The prop used is for anti clockwise rotation when viewed from cockpit.

No idea why. Perhaps he only had a left handed prop.
It’s clear from the pic that the prop is left handed (in glow prop terms)

(There are, of course, a lot of other, quite basic, issues, contributing to the model not flying...)

Sirji,
This was reply #3, with its wrong conclusion about the prop rotation direction!
