I am thinking about buying a WINGMAN1 (worldmodels) Trainer with a .46 engine! Any review about it? Does anyone know the cost i should expect?

Looks like a good high wing model, suitable for training.  Hope you hook up with local fliers when you try to fly the first time !

And I am not sure if you are look at getting it from outside India, which does not seem to make sense in the first place.  But I would expect shipping costs to be significant !

Just got my engine ordered from Manish a TT Pro .46 (RC SKYhobby) I guess i should be getting it by Monday.

and .... NO high wing ARF anywhere in the vicinity! :( Will wait for ROTORSPORT to get them!

Try the TT Ready or TT Cessna 177 at Rc Skyhobby or BRC Hobby-

These are made of ABS and are bullet proof trainers.

The TT Cessna is scale and has nice lines - but a .46 will be too small

The TT ready is a ideal high wing trainer and is suited for a .46

What is the repair procedure for the ABS plastic ones ?  Even though they are more sturdy than pure balsa/ply ones, they would sustain damages if the you "crash right" ;)

The question is purely academic -  as far as repairs go...a first timer could hardly
repair a balsa and ply ARF if he crashed

however... yes.... if you do crash the ABS is likely to sustain damage but
the margin of error in an ABS is greater ...... it can withstand impacts
that would reduce a conventional balsa & ply ARF to a bag of toothpicks.

For repairs they give spare ABS sheets which can be used to patch using pvc solvent cement ...

the caveat is that the ABS flies "hotter" and lands  faster - so you need a bigger field

You will not regret the decision, I passed my bronze on it many many years ago.
It is such a superb trainer, I loved it so much, went and bought another one just in case I crashed one, which I did more that a few times after passing my bronze. You actually start breaking planes once you have learnt to fly. Repairing as Saikat says is not that difficult, I used to use mylar hinge tape to repair mine with Cyano. I fly Jupiter now and that is another super low winger.

That is a point many beginners seem to misunderstand initially.  Not the repair part, but how vulnerable these things are to start with.  The pictures of them flying are really enticing, but the pictures of them crashed do not get the same level of visibility, leading to rude awakenings.

I have another question -
Can a TT Pro .46 engine be fitted to something like a Cessna 177 - 60 size? What do i expect here...? Does a 11*7 prop help in anyway?

a .46 in the cessna will be very marginal and is not suggested....

you will have virtually no reserve to get you out of trouble

also it will not be able to take off unless you fly from a paved surface

and lastly ... you will have to add nose weight to get the cg in the right place.

maybe you can return the pro .46 and get a GP.61 the price difference is not all that much
