Two months back I got an opportunity to conduct a model boat show at District cultural and handicraft exhibition. The initial idea of making the pond was to get a good reflecting image the stage. I managed to make this pond with fly ash bricks (the size of each brick is approx. 1ft x 9 in x 6 in) and covered the surface with tarpaulin. The approx. capacity of this pond was 5000 liters and size 24ft x 20 ft.

On this occasion our District Collector was taking a test drive of Lilka boat, but his experience with this boat was not so good.

The boat in the 4th pic is at quite an angle.. Did it tip over?

Wow! That is neat. I love the reflections in the first two snaps.

I was lucky, it didn't happen, but about 2 tea spoon of water gone inside the hull.  Electronic parts were safe, I disconnected the battery immediately and able sail it again after one hour.
