Artificial pond

Two months back I got an opportunity to conduct a model boat show at District cultural and handicraft exhibition. The initial idea of making the pond was to get a good reflecting image the stage. I managed to make this pond with fly ash bricks (the size of each brick is approx. 1ft x 9 in x 6 in) and covered the surface with tarpaulin. The approx. capacity of this pond was 5000 liters and size 24ft x 20 ft.

On this occasion our District Collector was taking a test drive of Lilka boat, but his experience with this boat was not so good.

The boat in the 4th pic is at quite an angle.. Did it tip over?

I was lucky, it didn’t happen, but about 2 tea spoon of water gone inside the hull. Electronic parts were safe, I disconnected the battery immediately and able sail it again after one hour.
