HYDRO PLANER.....

Respected Modellers.. posting this assembly sequency of 49 Cms cabin Cruiser, because of many personal requests to me from novices.. its all easy, and an excellent model for beginners and experts as well.. well balanced, and gives a better performance with any good motor..

the kit is very simple, and easy to build.. at first take out all parts and keep it near to you.. you must work on a table with enough space, and the table surface must be flat..
needed tools and glue: you must need a heavy duty art or craft knife, and a side cutter, or a heavy scissors, and along with a glue bottle..

take the bulk head B2 or as shown in picture..attach the bulkhead on keel, as shown with cyano glue..make sure this is attached in 90 degree perfect, because this determines the final shape of the boat..

attach the B3. as of B2..

now, you can seal all gaps with M seal, but will be hard to sand out, so, can use the PU putty, will be stronger and last for a life time, easy to sand and finish, no cracks, will gives an excellent rate of finish.. mix a little at a time as it hardens within a 5 minutes..
another option is the NC putty.. also will be good, but have to apply in thin coats, if not crack may appear when dries..
can also paint on it roughly..
now you can see i coated the hull with PU putty..
after sanding and finishing you can apply red oxide for greater life, and can add splash strips to make boat more versatile.. these strips lift boat from water in high speeds reduce drag..

Swiz.. we can directly paint the boat with Enamel, or with any paint, but it will be much rough to see and never gives us a good finish.. so, to get a high degree of finish, we can cover the boat or any craft, with the material named as "PUTTY"..  one of the most need with the putty is on automobiles.. for finishing the surface, and to get a smooth surface.. so, putty goes in to many variations.. here, to us, is the best option is the NC PUTTY.. means, the putty based on Nitrocellulose.. but this putty have some draw backs.. we cannot seal or cannot fill any big holes or dents, because putty will retreats and shrinks as it dries.. and if we applied in as thick coats, many cracks will appear as it dries.. NC putty also will take days of time to dry solid, wastes lots of work time.. but, NC putty is a key for a good smooth final surface in all crafts.. we can also dilute NC putty with NC thinner, then can spray it on any models, makes models water proof and gives a good smooth surface finishes, even without any sand paper applications..
here is the original sample.. you can buy NC putty from any company, but to me it is best from company ESDEE.. the NC putty will be in light grey colour, because of its material..

the PU (PolyUrathane), also known as Polyester Putty, can be purchased in two forms.. as plasto seal, and as surface putty.. surface putty is used in automobile, most of the time, for the correction of the minor dents.. but, plasto seal is used to fill major dents.. previously, we were using metal paste for this purpose.. but metal paste is too hard to sand off.. but, PU putty will be very stiff , elestic, but can sand off easily.. we can simply cover any major holes or dents easily with PU putty.. one of the most relief with PU putty is it's drying time.. it dries within 4 minutes and can sand off within 10 minutes.. the stiff ness and drying time can be adjust with the quantity of hardner, we adds with PU putty.. PU putty comes in same tin, as we see in NC putty..but will be with a plastic tube, like a tooth paste, is it's hardner.. mix only a little part, from tin and mix it with hardner in apropriate quantity, on a flat plate, then must apply within a minute..one of the main excellence of PU putty is, that we can make shapes with it.. we can make even a figure with PU putty in ease.. the PU putty comes in a butter like texture, with a pleasent smell .. (to me.. Giggle)..
but care must be taken to avoid breating it, as it can make allergic reactions in many personals.. also must use working gloves while working along with face shield..

so, a best way of working for a high finish, is, at first, seal all dents, gaps and imperfections with PU putty.. sand it smooth, and level.. then apply thin coats of NC putty all over it, and wait for drying each coats.. a thick coats destroys the finishing of your model, as many bubbling and rough textures forms inside the thick coats, and it came out when we starts to sands.. so, always thin coats.. then after few coats, as you can see the surface finish, can sand it smooth with, 200, 320, and 600 at last, and check any imperfections , apply a little more sand again.. so will get a smooth professional surface finish..all putty can be applied with putty blade, or known as putty knife, that can be purchased from any paint shop at the rate of Rs/- 5 for a blade.. a 1.5 inch wide blade is a best for smaller works like this one.. half Kg of NC putty costs, about 60 Rs/-, while PU costs 80 Rs/- for half Kg.. so, can make many models with it.. here is i applied on many of my crafts wating to be finished..

making and finishing a model is easy.. so, for that we need a little patience, and dedications.. most of us complaints that about time.. today's life is too fast.. is that..? never.. nothing is fast.. if we asses a little ourselves, we will get time for everything.. while we starts a model, to make, we must need a clear imaginative view about the craft as it's final shape and finishing.. as you can see all build logs, at beginning we will not see anything as positive.. but as we progress we will get a clear insight what is going to be shappened.. so, making models is just like drawing a picture, with great imaginations.. so, allow the imagination to fly.. fly high.. so, machines will shapes up.. along with, you can add mechanicals in it.. and can RCyit.. nothing can match the pleassure that brings us.. so, have many crafts to you all.. Thumbs Up
