Can someone please let me have the Name and Contact details of anyone who supplies Boat / Ship Balsa kits in India? I believe there are some good suppliers in Mumbai. There was also a company called Friends Chemicolour in Kolkata. I can't seem to find anything on the net. Once upon a time, these guys were regular suppliers to the NCC. Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks and Regards,

VC

Ankur, perhaps you didn't understand me. I am looking for boat kits with plans and the parts etched out on balsa sheets. What did you mean by, "make one yourself"? Are you suggesting scratch building it?

My young friend,

I am 45 years old. When I was your age, I have done my fair share of scratch building. All the fancy items that you get off the shelf were not available to us. Thanks for your advice.

Come on Guys!

NO ONE has the address or contact details of a single company selling Balsa wood kits for Boats or Ships in India?  Bang Head
Ankur, thanks but those are not the kind that I am looking for. I am looking for Naval Ships like Destroyers, Frigates and Motor Torpedo Boats. Thanks anyway.

Hi Ankur!

That is exactly what I am doing now! A 40cm Cabin Cruiser is on the way. Next step is the 75cm MTB. Probably will go down to Kolkata and hunt out my old suppliers. Are you into Boats as well? Want the MTB / Cabin Cruiser Plans? Let me know.

Cheers!

ya i have made 2 rc boats which unfortunately work on the tx/rx system of a rc car nut whatsoer they work
1 is abt 60cm long and 2" thick 100% completed but not tested
2nd is abt 30cm long and 1" thick not yet completed

actually both are  made of thermocol and are not so good looking
currently using 9v alkaline batteries  but will be using 1 or 2s lipo
using props extracted from a small computer case fan but will be using a water prop from hobbycity soon

Please give me the plans if u can do so.

Cheers!
