The reason that I choose to use a brushed set up is because of the fact that I have a 6 Ch Rx that has a built in Brushed ESC. Besides, I would like to sail her at a scale speed. As Don had pointed out, a Cabin Cruiser doesn't zip at 200 Kmph! I would use a brushless (maybe 2 of them) in the larger MTB that I plan to build later.

Would be grateful if you could give me some more details about the Hobby Centre props and tubes Props were Indian / Imported / Plastic / Brass? Prices etc...), a telephone number of Hobby Centre would be appreciated.

Regards,

VC

After more than a year in cold storage, gathering dust, suffering minor damages etc., I finally managed to maiden her yesterday. She needs some ballast on the port side as there is a slight list. Pretty happy with her overall performance as she sailed at half throttle. Turning radius is good, though the rudder needs some adjustment.I have to add an external antenna to improve the range. The bare chested gentleman was in readiness to dive into the freezing water in case she stalled (I have never learnt to swim). Thankfully, that need didn't arise.

Not at all Sumeet. This boat is not Pro by any standards. Detailing leaves a LOT to be desired. However, thanks anyway.

Hi VC,
so nice to see you Anteres in the water, Smiley
rather than 'adding' ballast try a different battery position....although it looks as it would take a little ballast easily enough.
nice steady run in the video, it did not even 'bounce' hardly when traveling over it own wash after a hard turn.
the steering looks good and it appears to have loads of power and a good bow wave.
detail........... it looks good as it is with the cabin detail and steps etc........... but that is down to how you want it to appear as a builder, we all have our own 'picture' in our minds of what we want at finish.
good work mate a really nice looking boat. SmileySmileySmiley
as with mine, you don't appear to have put in a reverse function.
I did on the MAS PT boat, but kept the Anteres simple.Smiley

Hey Don! Thanks a ton! (That is GREAT poetry! Giggle)

No, I didn't put in a reverse function, perhaps someday in the future I will. Currently I just wanted to finish her and get her into water just to see how she held up. Luckily, she has performed satisfactorily. I was tired of seeing her sitting on the shelf gathering dust.

As far as the monster MAS 562 is concerned, We are all waiting for you to maiden her once the weather turns conducive out there.

Take care of yourself and Regards.

Don't wake a Tiger until you've factored the teeth

We are experiencing pre monsoon showers here and everything is full of water!!! I should finish the electrics in a few days time and then hope to maiden her. However, as I have mentioned before, I will wait for my friend Don @ "Sunk?" to reappear on this forum and then I will post the maiden video. He inspired me to motivate myself to build her when I had just about given up. I hope you will appreciate my feelings. Thanks!

VC

Exactly 3 years later to the date. Hope you've kept it on ice, cause when I come to Gauhati, it is accompanying me back Cheesy

Wow! That's one hell of a coincidence. Its raining cats and dogs here today (actually for the past few days) Weather is pleasant and we require blankets at night.
