Dear Mr. Krishna,

That is one of the finest (if not the best) scratch built model that I've ever seen. Keep up the great work and continue inspiring us.

Waiting for the video.

Thank you all of my Friends...i took around a month to finish this one..becaue by health i am not OK...i will post a detailed article about making a ship, from thermocol and paper, and sure with all known technics that with me..all proven for years..and i hope with that many of us can make models with very less money and yes will be much enjoyable...but i request for a little time, because i am simply getting back in to my life, once again...i will post all goodies here that i proved in my lifetime...its sure...and also know that i have ample of things to learn from you all...thanks for the inspiration, and encouragement...still working on a new platform...

Praveen Sir, i am too happy to know that you sailed in Shivalik...its nice...and i can simply imagine the sheer power  as her's gas turbines thrusts her...my model is fully eqiped one and can really fire, by changing the turret in to some big one, not in scale, because to absorb the rebouncing...now i am in to INS MUMBAI, in same scale..then INS VIPUL...but at present i am working on a new design, for our NAVY, is named NAGIN 1. its a stealthy gun platform concept..and also working on a mig 29, in to 7 feet, to show the landing gear retraction, and deploy.it will take some time, but within time i will post a great article about making a great ship from thermocol and paper...its nice..inexpensive..but relliable...sure..i will post...

Roopesh

superb build, as you can see, except probably Mr VC & Maharana , there are no serious boat builders, here, i am sure you have read this thread (http://www.modelboatmayhem.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=29759.0) take this to MBM as well. see the response. you want to stick onto to Indian, i think that is welcome too. aim is .KEEP BUILDING, posts , forum etc are secondary,

This is a good read... about some excellent work...  Clap almost around the same time you built Shivali F 47, I built my Shivalik F 47... its just about 30 cm long... I built its hull out of thrown away single switch plastic switch boxes and wood. I have used twin props powered be two 3v motors out of an old RC car. I used the RC circuit of the car for the transmitter and receiver... for the power supply I've used a mobile phone lithium ion cell.... just enough to enjoy in a 6' dia pool... Tongue

My F47 in the attached picture is not an exact replica... and certainly no match to what you have built... Building Water Crafts is not a very common hobby in North India. However, Building water crafts has been a long nurtured dream since I was just about 6 yrs old way back in 1968 during a annual fair called "saba, Saba" ("7, 7") in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa where my late dad was posted. Almost four and a half decades later I've started realising that dream. I have built numerous small RC boats, catamarans and tugs out of plastic pencil boxes for kids to enjoy. I have also built a 75cm long Coast Guard Patrol boat much in lines of your "Mistral" almost a year before building  Shivalik F47. The latest of my vessels is a 50cm long RC Luxury Cruise Vessel. Its in the finishing stages. Your posts inspires this 50yr old child to build more... Wink Thanks for sharing your builds... Smiley

When will you be in New Del, Ratbuster? I am planning a trip mid May. Would love to meet this gentleman. His posts and his build style are very 'familiar'. Lots to learn from him.

I was just about 6 yrs old way back in 1968 during a annual fair called "saba, Saba" ("7, 7") in Dar-es-Salaam, Tanzania, East Africa

It will be worth while to research, though the festival marks Union of two countries in 54, when was the First 'Saba Saba' held? Did this festival happen in 1968? Worth researching, though rest of the corroborative facts quoted are bang on

L'enfant Terrible du RCIndia

Thank you for giving me the opportunity of conducting a research. Here are my findings:

1. The Saba Saba (7/7 or 7th. of July) International festival started sometime in the early 80's. I quote from this website:

http://www.wildthingsafaris.com/information/events/tradefair

"The International Trade Fair is now in its thirty-second year, having originally been held to promote Tanzanian exports. Now the International Trade Fair has grown into an important annual event, hosting over 1500 exhibitors from over 18 different countries."

2. Also it wasn't the M.V. Haryana, it was the M.V. State of Haryana (erstwhile M.V. Santhia which was taken over at Bombay by The Shipping Corporation of India, in 1966 and re christened as the 'State of Haryana'). At that point in time, my Father was young Captain with the same company, SCI.

3. I quote from Wiki: "INS Delhi was a Leander class light cruiser built for the Royal Navy in 1933 as HMS Achilles, and commissioned into the New Zealand Division of the Royal Navy (from 1941 the Royal New Zealand Navy) in 1937 as HMNZS Achilles. She was returned to the Royal Navy at the end of the Second World War and in 1948 was sold to the Royal Indian Navy to be recommissioned as HMIS Delhi. In 1950 she was renamed INS Delhi and remained in service until decommissioned at Bombay on 30 June 1978."

This is one of the best examples of researched fiction that you can come across in real life. The person has gone to great lengths to create this identity which seems to be going through a bit of crisis now.

Obviously the person has a lot of time in his hands and is intelligent as well as 'creative'.
