Title: Hovercraft from scratch Post by: taurean1192 on September 01, 2011, 08:37:50 PM hi i need to make a hovercraft some 35*25 cms. i saw VC's design whwich was reaally good. can anybody tell me where i can get the desired motors. and which ones i should basically look for. I have the right to use 2 motors. 1 for lift and 1 for propulsion. my target weight is about 400-500 grams and i need to make it within a week... please advice... :)

That is why they are ideally suited for aeromodels. Brushed motors are preferable for land and water crafts as they run cooler without a heavy airflow.

Hey Taurean ,you can build a hovercraft with a much lower budget if you use only brushed motors along with brushed esc's.Even if you use brushless setup,the cost of building will go to around 3k,excluding the radio.
