Title: INS Shishumar - Static Model (Table top)
Post by: Pirate_1 on January 20, 2015, 01:12:21 PM
Hi All,
I just finished shaping a static table top model of INS Shishumar.
This model is made out of balsa wood.
I would like to give a good cote of paint and decals

Now would like to know from the experts,
1. What is the next process in completing this static model?
2. How to fill and finish this static model.

Regards

Try to do as much detailing as possible... like rivets etc. You will need lot of pictures and lot of patience in building exact replica.

Please do a ref check with photographs of the Conning Tower / Sail. To be honest, you have a long way to go before you think of painting it.

Good start.

Thanks VC Sir!, Thanks for all those pics and inputs.
Initially I thought I'll do the filling and get the details before paining it.

Just one question, is my "Conning Tower" too tall.....out of proportion?
Most of the pictures in Google shows the sub half sunk in water.....so not able to find the Conning Tower height proportion.

Thanks

Pirate

Based on the photographs, I would say that it does look a bit on the taller side.
