I built two boats, with the help of plan provided by Roopesh sir in one of his posts. It was very easy as opined by Roopesh sir.

Installed electronics in the bigger one..
Used thrust vectoring and also rudder.

What material are you using for the build? I see a lot of duct / packing tape. Will that be removed later? Have you tried it in water? Please explain your "Thrust Vectoring" mechanism.

Vc sir I used cardboard(thin).  my radio and reciever both are of a dual rotor heli. Hence  I can control the rpm of both the motors and hence T.v underwater :giggle:. I used the tail rotor in the heli as rudder servo in the boat.. I have to test it not yet done in water..

Great work..Manu..so, happy that to know my works inspires you all a lots..now my life is realized..need nothing more..while using card boards, you can simply apply NC putty, over it, by thin layers, after sanding the basic card board hull once..then will last for years..and your Thrust Vector will also works nicely..and great apreciation for the adoption of the idea, from a heli..for more excellent controls, you can fix the two drive shafts, in an off set manner, up to 8 to 10 degrees each other, and inward rotating prop gives us a great torque, while an outward rotating prop gives a great speed..anyway great effort..now i hope more will come to the field of model boating.. sir which is the best glue for boats. Can I use solvent cement??

No..solvent cements are mainly intended for PVCs..means pipes and parts..here, you can use, the Industrial cyanoacrylate glues, means, cyano glues in to 74, 76, and 78 grade, but you must take care while using thse types of glue, means, must wear a eye protection, and face protection, while using an apron on body..if it splashes in to eye, there must not be any remedy..and for lower applications, can use white glue, white glue marine, and industrial marine glues..if you use whilte glue, it must be covered by clear varnish once..so, i preffer marine glues, will not eat foam or thermocol, can purchased from any general purpose hardware shops..here, SR, means, rubber solutions , not a better choice, as putty and NC thineer can dissolve it..for an easy finish, you can use marine glue, with card board, and waterproofing the card board with enamel paints, with repeated coats.. :thumbsup:
