Merging...

BTW, terribly poor choice of topic name ;D Requesting everyone not to put "how are you today" or "it is me again" or things like that as topic names for your RC model related threads ;)

Boat building culture in India is progressing slowly but steadily. {:)} {:)} {:)}
And Akash if it is your first boat then lots more things can be expected from you.
At the same time we should not forget Ghanshyam – He is also equally talented guy.

absolutely, i agree with Maharana, some boat makers are not perturbed, they take 3-4 months to make a hull, they keep watching it, feel good, and never finish it. whatever be the pressure boat builders are at not in any hurry at all. ;)

Nice work Akash... :salute:
Will meet up next month when i am in Bangalore.

Thanks a lot Maharana sir , And Augustinev  :giggle: ya the boat building process is very slow as the parts to make it run are to be accurate and are hard to find and fabricates so it takes lot of time.......

N oh yeah this is our first trial of the boat :)iq

@ akash:
Congrats Akash winning the competition, and it is more than a trial.

@ Ghanshyam:
You are right, for some people 48 hours mean 17 days and when you are supposed to work with them - a fortnight work always takes 3 to 4 months.

@ Augustinev
I think your client got the right answer at the very right place.

hi mate,
nice work there.
what is it you are calling 'sun board'?
is it similar to the poly plastic used for light weight planes?
nice new color scheme :-)

@sunk?
im not really sure if its the poly plastic used for planes...
its generally used for making advertising boards...
but its really easy to work with n sticks very nicely with super glue...probably could be used to make a fuselage...

Sunboard is basically a PVC Foam board, i.e a layer of foam sandwiched between two PVC layers.

BTW Wonderful build, well done.  :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Akash - Awesome! Well done!

Mr.X  - take your own sweet time, but not at the cost of another person's risk. It is his reputation at stake and his money on the table. Don't accept an advance of Rs.10,000/- in November 2010 and thereafter produce a naked hull floating in country liquor in March 2011 to justify "for some people 48 hours mean 17 days". After all, you promised to deliver that boat, complete in al respects, by 15th. Jan 2011. Don't steal someone else's money and contract just because it suits the circumstances. Just because you have made 3 boats does not make you an ethical person. Would you like me to post the threads of the antics that you were up to during this period? I am sure the Govt. Official was very happy inaugurating your brick lined pond!

Sir, I still have a lot of respect for your modelling abilities, you are far more knowledgeable than i am, however, in the matter of ethics Sir, you are waaaay below par..

Sir, I did not fight with JA for a mere Rs.100/- there was a principle involved. Same with RK pretending to be a woman, here too there was a principle involved. Sir, with an association dating from Nov 2009 till date, I think I have a responsibility to fulfill at www.rcindia.org. You are a different story altogether. Your position is one of blowing your own trumpet (that too borrowed at someone else's cost).

Since I have quoted your exact messages, I hope you now understand that your defamatory PM's have all been forwarded to me. Shows how much trust and faith the other forum members have in you.

Someone here knows what I am talking about. 3 other persons on this forum have copies of all messages, emails and posts from Mr. X and my replies to them, vice versa.

Mr. X, let us not dilute or destroy this thread (My apologies to Akash for having responded to his jibes posted here). If you have the guts, challenge me on a new thread so that I may expose you in front of all and sundry. All Pm's, emails, transcripts, bank transfer details, and text messages will be produced here verbatim, Ready Sir? I wonder why 2 trusted suppliers, on this forum,  refused to sell you Motors, ESC;s etc.? I believe they were smarter than I was.

Sir, I am not stripping before I have located a bathing pond. The pond/cesspool is here for all to see and I can't bear to send you into it with all your clothes on.

Akash, my apologies once again, that is one fine boat and i hope that you will forgive me for this interference.

Anwar Sahab, this may lead to my or his or both our expulsions from the forum, however, that is a small price to pay to ensure that others don't get duped the way I was. There is a lesson to be learned from this transaction.

VC

Not sure the above post belongs in this thread. If I understand this right, the so called "Mr.X" has not even commented here :headscratch:

Also, it is confusing to everyone as to what is going on.  Better to have everything in the open, or none at all ?

Title: Re: rc boat made using sunboard
Post by: VC on April 27, 2011, 03:13:05 AM
Sir, Mr. X has already commented earlier. My post is only a reply to his jibe. I had promised myself that I wouldn't comment on this matter till I was attacked personally.

If you still feel that this matter is muddy and does not warrant my post, please consider this is as my last constructive post on this forum.

Regards,

VC

I see the post, not sure how I missed it earlier !  In any case, I would suggest that a separate thread be started, and you can quote the "jibe" if you feel so.

The fact is, a build thread will have a long life...  these personal issues (I do not want to comment on the fairness of it yet) have limited interest to a broader audience, so a separate thread is always a better way of doing it.

“take your own sweet time, but not at the cost of another person's risk. It is his reputation at stake and his money on the table. Don't accept an advance of Rs.10,000/- in November 2010”

   You are right VC, it was somebody’s money on your table, and it was his reputation at stake who blind believed you. Gave you all advance money to purchase what ever things you like and waited 8 months. 8 months (not 6 months as mentioned by you) to complete bull cart type hovercrafts. If he had been ordered a real custom build hovercraft to a company, it would have been delivered quicker than you. And about the advance of Rs. 10,000/- for Pilot boat (Survey) been debited from my bill, and adjusted in you’re a/c as per the telephonic discussion with you on 18th March 2011.

and thereafter produce a naked hull floating in country liquor in March 2011 to justify "for some people 48 hours mean 17 days". After all, you promised to deliver that boat, complete in al respects, by 15th. Jan 2011

I never committed any one to supply anything for the month of December, and January, because I had other things to do in these two months. You conformed me that the boat is going to be electric ( by RCI, PM, Dated : 5th Sept. 2010), I gave you an estimate dated ( 9th Sept 2010) by gmail.com. Number of times I have asked you to confirm the job so that I can start the build from September itself and finish it well before December 2010, you committed me an advance of Rs. 20,000/- but failed many times by saying “unable to transfer funds”, “wrong ICFC code”, ICICI people are not accepting money etc. etc. It took almost two months to deposit the said amount and that to half the amount deposited. (Rs. 10,000/), that to a friend’s SBI a/c.  After deposited the money on Nov. 2010, you mentioned me that if we can deliver all the products on the month of March it is okay.

Now how can you expect a boat to be completed in all respect in Jan 15th, without the hand made ESC and Motors which were delivered on 12th March 2011. VC, I make rc boat not “Time machines”, that I can collect your handmade esc on 12th march 2011 and able to fit it on 15th Jan 2011; saying the boat is completed in all respect by 15th Jan 2011.

As per discussion the boat was supposed to be made with ply and simul wood, but later I thought to make it fiberglass, so that it can be handled in rough circumstance. I did not charge extra for that. After completing the hull on 30th January and tested the same “country liquor pond” I rang you and asked to provide necessary electronics (only motors and servo) so that I can make necessary motor mount and servo mount and able to fix the deck. You remember the day as a hot discussion was going about R.K.

I did not steal your contract; It was you and the consignor who made the decision that I should work directly with them. I accepted the job right after your conformation on 20th March 2011.

Not only Govt. officials in my state also some Senior Administrative officers from your state (Assam) also know me. I have worked under them; they know my dedication and sincerity to work, although they are not aware of my rc hobby till date.

You may respect someone’s modeling abilities. In the matter of ethics don’t say you have 30 years of experience in this field, who simply sublet his contract work to his fellow members. Never feel necessary to mention their names openly unless forced in trouble.

Sir, I did not fight with JA for a mere Rs.100/- there was a principle involved. Same with RK pretending to be a woman, here too there was a principle involved.

Oh, principle involved, then what happened to your principle and character, who took advance to supply water cooled motors and escs, (4 sets) then produce a hand made esc and rs. 250/- brushed motors which did not last even a second.

For some reason you were quite upset that day (27th April 2011) even at night also. Released all your annoyance on me with a different reason altogether. I don’t know to whom you were trying to prove your dedication to www.rcindia.org. and why ? Better luck next time. And my story is just a senior member (with 168 odd posts) and I am happy with it.

Since I have quoted your exact messages, I hope you now understand that your defamatory PM's have all been forwarded to me. Shows how much trust and faith the other forum members have in you.
Don’t take the PM as a personal approach or my plea. It was a letter through right channel to reach you and also challenge you openly for a discussion. The PM is still saved in my outbox.

Why 3 members, many of us here know what exactly happened over the period of time. Some support you and some support me. I thank the Trusted Suppliers who helped me in the period of time of completion of this project. I am not interest to post PMs, emails etc. but I am ready to give my user names and passwords of both RCI as well as gmail, to Admn. (Mr, Anwar) also to Mr. Gusty, so that both of them can verify the necessary things and come to a neutral conclusion.

The rest mentioned below is nonsense…………

Excellent build akash. {:)} {:)} {:)}
 Is this also build from sunboard?
Is the rudder brought or are these self made . would be intresting if you can post some pics of inside of the boat. Also let us know if the water cooling with rudder pickup is effecient. where is the water outlet.

Shreekant

@rooster
Yes its also made using sunboard... The rudder is self made.... Copied the design from a hobbyking rudder which my friend had bought... The water pick up works good, but i'd rather use a separate water pickup cause this water pickup doesnt pickup water while taking turns....  I'll upload pictures of the inside of the boat in a day or two... and the outlet for the water is on the right side of the hull...

Some people, it seems, can't understand and appreciate a genuine compliment. I suggest they start understanding the very basic nuances of the English language (if they want to continue posting here without making complete asses of themselves!).  :giggle:

Thank God, the builder of this beautiful boat, Akash understood that I was paying him a compliment. ;)
