@ Chris - My setup does not support 4 cell :( Title: Re: RC v-hull boat Post by: Rooster on July 12, 2018, 11:03:40 AM Did you use a water cooled Esc . Did you use a single cooling pipe for motor and esc or separate ones
Title: Re: RC v-hull boat Post by: R C on July 13, 2018, 07:05:42 AM Did you use a water cooled Esc . Did you use a single cooling pipe for motor and esc or separate ones Yes, i did use 60 Amp watercooled esc with single cooling pipe for motor and esc. but the cooling was not good enough for motor with the copper cooling pipe, hence i had ordered a water cooling jacket from Banggood which i have installed and now water cooling is much better and free flow of water through single cooling pipe. Title: Re: RC v-hull boat Post by: Rooster on July 13, 2018, 09:05:19 PM
but the cooling was not good enough for motor with the copper cooling pipe
Was this because not enough water flow which I know is difficult to assess . But maybe having a separate dedicated inlet for cooling water(not using the rudder inlet) will give better cooling also using a heat conducting paste when using a cooling tube helps much better cooling. Sorry just throwing the above info at you but shared it since I learnt them during my builds. Title: Re: RC v-hull boat Post by: R C on July 17, 2018, 11:50:10 AM Hi Rooster,
Yes, i did use heat conducting paste but water flow was not enough. I had a separate dedicated inlet for cooling water, i dint use rudder inlet. I have ordered a aluminum water cooling Jacket for the motor, once i receive the same i will install it and do another test run. Will keep you guys posted. :) Title: Re: RC v-hull boat Post by: sujit on August 06, 2020, 02:26:54 PM Will they be doing laser cutting of the plywood
Title: Re: RC v-hull boat Post by: R C on August 07, 2020, 07:44:36 AM Will they be doing laser cutting of the plywood I guess They will do laser cut upto 4mm and CNC cutting for above 4mm. Not sure though, you can contact them and check.Regards Title: Re: RC v-hull boat Post by: sujit on August 07, 2020, 07:39:04 PM Can you please share the design, else provide me the link where I can download.
