Surface test (in a confined space Bang Head) to give you some indication of the speed of the model on land. Throttle was never increased beyond the half way mark.

To meet the deadline, I had been working for nearly 18 hours, for the last two days, at a stretch on the model. Now that she has been delivered, I just can't seem to go to sleep! 1:32am  Huh?

Atul, Choxxi - thanks a ton! We have started work on the Griffon 8000 and the LCAC 1 Assault Hovercraft. Hope these turn out better.

I am looking for a dummy tank to go with the LCAC 1/10 or 1/15 scale. Does anyone have an old Funskool GI JOE Tank lying around somewhere? That would be the approximate scale. Pl PM me urgently. Even if it is not working or has been damaged / broken, I would love to have it.

Will do soon. My PC is recovering from a crash. Send me your email id and I will mail bigger pictures to you. Just give me some time to locate them.

I also noticed a query from you about brass pipes. You will find them at any shop that sells refrigerator or air conditioner parts and gas.

Well done hovers great

only thing I would have done different is used a lower kv motor for lift I use 1700kv on 3 cell but only need 1/2 throttle to get lift so makes it a lot more quiet

That's the great thing about RC hobbies you can always learn something new

There are so many different models to be built one day I plan on building the ZUBR Russian hovercraft

This site gives you plans for the skirt
all you need is some sewing skills and it's easy
there are many ways to seal the skirt I find screwing it down with thin bits of plastic the best as you can remove easy

This is my griffon going up a boat ramp

This one is cam inside hovercraft on the water

Thanks Stuart, I downloaded the skirt plan from the same site. We got hold of a car cover and that turned out to be the perfect substitute for 'ripstop' material.

Your Griffon 2000 is beautiful!

If you add more segments to the corners it works better so you decrease the curves on the edges and make 4 for each corner instead of 2

I wanted to know how exactly you attach the skirt to the body. That's one thing I still can't quite understand.
