Title: Scratchbuilt Speed Boat #sweepstakes 2014

this is my first boat :)
specs:
length- 600mm
motor- have to rewind a burned motor(brushless)
esc- 40A
material for the hull- some advertising board 5mm( some sort of plastic light weight)

this is a complete build log and i'm going to post lot of pics so its gonna be a long thread
started with the plans, the original planes are 1000mm so i scaled down to 60% i.e 600mm

to get the perfect fit the sections are sawed at an angle of 60 degrees

i'm going to use flex quick which is used for sticking banners to the metal frames

to get good bonding i used talcum powder as filler along with the glue

for the trim tabs i used heat sink from a psu

for the stinger and shaft i used a gear with shaft sourced from an old printer

i used broken speedometer shaft as flexible drive shaft

for the rudder a potion of door hinge and al plate

completed rudder
for the cooling of esc and motor metal tube is glued to the rudder for water supply

no it's not :)
it is some sort of light weight plastic i don't know what it is called but i'm sure its not foam board
the strength of this thing is great

no its only the sheet
it is like acrylic (plexi glass) but with tiny air holes in it and it also handles fire very well cause when i tried to heat it and bend it, it takes so long

Oh! Its a great job there.It seens no one has used that material till now. Looks like you did a lot of sanding...

@gajjark no sir its not foamboard i'm sure f that
i don't think a foamboard sheet sustain direct flame for 5 minutes without melting, i did it for bending the sheet
