Does anyone have access to the means and infrastructure to create a 6 or 7 blade Submarine prop (dia 55 mm) out of brass or any other non rust metal? Please contact me urgently.

I think it's better to buy one if possible, than to get it machined.
To machine one, it might cost more than 2-3 times the retail price.
5 axis CNC and design services are quite pricey for the kind of precision the prop demands.
Casting 1 or 2 pieces might again be expensive, not to mention surface finishing and balancing.

The cost of an imported 6 bladed prop ( US $ 50+) is more than the cost of my entire Submarine ( Tx/Rx not included) and I am not willing to spend that amount.

I would rather scratch build it for a fraction of the price. F

'Finishing and Balancing' for a prop that drives a hobby grade submarine are exalted/over rated terms. Trust me - my boats have run (and won Pan India Competitions) on props made out of Baked Bean can tops.

Well, like I said, it might cost you twice the retail price to machine one. If it's for low speed applications, you can try hand crafting in wood or something like that.

If you're looking for any sort of 6-7 blade props, you can break open a few computer fans.

Thanks! That bit about Computer (PC Cooling fans) fans did come to my mind. However, it won't be to scale. Something that I don't approve of. Seems like I will have to take the difficult way out.

Exactly what I've been suggesting, the cost factor could be an exception, though.

Buying is a habit I've saved for the lazy days. ;D

check out the proocessor fan for the intel atom.. thats tiny.....

VC bhai, I was thinking, why not break the blades off a cooling fan and glue them on to a properly indexed hub of whatever size that gives it the scale-look?
I had an AMD fan that has blades similar to the props above.

If you had mentioned earlier today, I could have gotten you a few. The local junkyard is open only on Sundays.

If you can't find any in the following week, I can hunt down a few next Sunday.
