Yes, these kind of toys are available around  Indian Rupees 200 or less. I bought one, seven years back for about Indian Rupees 150 or so in Mumbai at Dadar.

All the cars( and most planes also) like this one in the market us RX2 and TX2 ICs and can very easily be adopted for a boat rc control. If you want to use a more powerful motor to drive the boat just change the transistors in the H bridge with more powerful ones. However the motor which comes with these cars is quit OK for a small boat.I built one a few years ago.

Wrong Brothers

DEAR warriornair,

the wheels are hinged on axle and are free to move in any direction, and these hinges have a small arm like 'servo arm'. Again a plastic rod (say pushrod) connects the arms of the two hinges togather. now if plastic rod moves in any direction parallel to axle, both the front wheels turn to same angle..

the plastic rod has theets in between, which is moved to and fro via gear mounted directly on motor shaft..

I know it sems a bit confusing.
strength is not enough for boats or other applications.

I too have one similar to "Mercedes Benz" model, owe it since three years. It also have focus-headlights.
