Post by: DWJL511 on March 12, 2014, 09:41:20 AM
Hello from Singapore! Anyone into scale trailing and crawling trucks?

I have two trucks. One an Axial Honcho, the other a Gmade Sawback. I love to produce vids of my trails too:

I am basically into "scale"
not trucks or cars, everything related to RC.

my latest 1:24 scale crawler >>  www.rcindia.org/cars/124-scale-man-crawler-build-(can-it-be-considered-for-the-sweepstakes)/ (http://)

Hello there,

Its been only 3 years since I got my 1st Hobbygrade R/c. and I am new to the crawling scene. I recently bought The SCX10 Rubicon RTR and have already done a few mods to it.
It would be interesting to know if there are any trailing groups nearby Daman or Mumbai.

It is an Axial SCX10. I ordered it from towerhobbies.com.

Yes, a lot of people buy from Towerhobbies.com. I got my SCX10 from there too. Register as a free member first. Then wait for their email where they give you shipping discount codes. For the price you pay for an SCX10 truck, with the code shipping is practically free.

Here's my latest truck video. I enjoy making videos too:

hi puneet,

this is off topic. found your name as the contact person for the RC field in Bhondsi gurgaon. If you guys are flying there tomorrow would come to see and connect with you all. I am very keen to take up this hobby.

Thanking you,

Adel

Hi manguesh
I interested in buying the axial scx10 too, could you tell how was your purchasing experience from tower hobbies? How long did it take to reach you? Any hassles with customs you faced? Thanks.

Hi,

buying from towerhobbies was a good experience. Only hurdle was that They only accept credit cards or paypal, no debit cards.
If you are ordering anything with a radio transmitter in it, choose UPS. Its expensive, but will save you the customs hassle.
I ordered using UPS and the SCX10 was at my doorstep within 6 days. I had to pay additional customs charges to the delivery guy. These are additional charges and are not included in the shipping fees (because they are based on the valuation of goods upon landing in India), The charge was roughly about 15% of the total value of shipment.
overall it was a good experience buying from towerhobbies.
