go for a new TMAXX 3.3 nitro or REVO nitro way way better than HPI savage ;D Title: Re: Baja 5B 23cc Prices Post by: mail4ajo on May 10, 2013, 09:43:13 PM @spike Great to know, but can you explain how the revo is better than the savage?go for a new TMAXX 3.3 nitro or REVO nitro way way better than HPI savage ;D Title: Re: Re: Baja 5B 23cc Prices Post by: trishul on May 10, 2013, 10:09:52 PM I'm brand new at all this and I bought myself a tmaxx 3.3 after deliberating over a HPI bullet or HPI savage.
What I feel is that the bullet doesn't qualify. But coming to the tmaxx n savage... Repairing and procuring parts for traxxas I figured was way easier than hpi. Tmaxx is easier to break I agree whereas the savage is tougher but small things like the starting system on the tmaxx and the working space inside is what appeals to me more on the tmaxx. Savage is tougher to work on and the parts and support here in India is really poor at present. I bought the tmaxx compared to the savage being my first rc car.. Revo is a different class altogether.. I didn't pick it up coz I had already overstretched my budget and this was costlier.. But the Revo suspension is racing grade and way better. Some of them are poorly build. Not all parts can be replaced with HPI parts.
I agree on the spares support for TRX in India. Also most TRX cars are beginner friendly since they are specifically made for the category of buyers. You really shouldn't compare a Savage to Tmaxx. Savage is so much stronger, basher friendly. When it comes to maintainence, savage is easier to work on. TRX cars come only with exploded diagram while savage has the assembly manual. Again Revo is a diff class. Best race MT. We have driven Savage and Revo on track and the experienced driver with Savage couldn't keep up with the Revo. |
