I wouldn't suggest the bullet considering it's a pretty old design.

Are you set on nitro?

Yes I have made up my mind I want only nitro,
is there any other car at the same price range which equally good or better

But most of the rewiews in youtube and other websites say that it is a good beginers trucks.....

Please check on availability. Rc racing hobbies is the official distributors of HPI in India now. Why don't you consider 1/8 scale that you can also race. Not sure of bullet price, good nitro options start around 25k. You have HPI trophy buggy also

Just saw 22k for billet with Rc racing hobby. They have the pulse line. Stretch a bit more you can get a hong nor lx2 or JQ RTR

Trophy buggy is about 28k-29k bullet is about 22k in rc racing hobbies

With the dollar rate you will be drained. Unless you are getting it hand carried from US,don't bother. Buy locally when you see good options. What is your budget and use?

Please check availability once again. As far as I know Tritech has been dormant for several months. If you get a Truggy, you can bash and also race if you wish to. No one in India stocks all parts for a car. It's just not possible. Established distributors will have most commonly used spares.

@mailforajo sir

Under 25K may be an issue. Lowest that I know of is TT EB4 which I do not recommend now.

Check Ofna LX2 (Hong Nor LX2) or JQ RTR which is bit more expensive. I recommend JQ because the car comes with good servos and is nice to drive based on my experience. LX2, you will get great support from JRH hobby in breaking in, setting up etc. JQ, I am not very sure. Both are good choices, but I like JQ at that price point.

Also check with Rc racing hobby on the HPI Pulse or Trophy buggy. Not sure on the details

@mail4ajo: I would like to begin with thanking Ajo for sharing his personal honest opinion about the both Ofna LX2 by JRH Hobby and JQ RTR by Veels on 5er Hobbies.

Both are definitely good options to choose from at the price point.

Even we at Veels on 5er who are the official distributors for JQ Products in India provide very high degree of support for all the needs like breaking in and most of the car spares, basic tools for maintenance, fuel, etc.

I am sure you must have considered HPI Savage X 4.6 big block.....its a great machine for bashing and can take lot of punishment...yes its a bit over your budget but I have it and found it to be a sturdy nitro truck........

@spike if you still haven't picked one up here's 2 cent

Stretch your budget by about 2k  and get the HPI Trophy 3.5 RTR. Since your main use is bashing ( use on mixed terrain) and not a circuit. Go for 1/8nitro you will have better control at 518mm length she is pretty long( most bang for your back if you want something big large scale) . I  justbgot the baja 5b used and I've tried it in various terrains already.. Handles decent in a straight line : tarmac (not advised-too excited had to give it a shot) on mud and grass and gravel no slush yet. The down side it scrapes a little.
Large scale handle well.
Go the nitro way pick up 2 gallons and you should be set !

I believe RC racing hobbies (Rahul) is the sole distributor in the country. Google has all the details.
Curious to know about the bullet series. Anyone running a bullet nitro (pull start) could share some light on how she performes.

Hey spike,
If you still havent made your purchase then I think you should go for the bullet series... Personally, I like the MT because of the rims and i like the ST body... Both are great vehicles... I own a HPI Savage X 4.6... Nitro is awesome... The thought of having a small Monster truck resting on the study table is great.... RC Racing hobbies is the main distributor for HPI in India.. Tritech is closed... RC Racing hobbies will help you out !!!!
