You'll need to keep the CG as low as possible to avoid rollovers. Since you're driving slow, you can make do with a brushed motor. I would go with a high turn, sensored brushless motor though. It'll offer exceptional low speed performance. You'll also need tires big enough to handle obstacles.

I was talking about making a truck or buggy... I can get a roll-cage fabricated from the nearest iron works... Chassis also can be made here... drivetrain, shocks, brakes etc...
