Hey sreedhar,

Welcome to the world of RC Nitro.. Nitros are fun, at times it can be a pain with tuning. To start of with I would suggest Thunder tiger man.. It has got spares readily available with Modelart, Bangalore. are you planning to Race or Bash?. There is Buggy, Truggy & Monster Truck.. What do you want ?. What is your budget?. Nitro cars start from 15k onwards. Your fuel cost will be Rs. 600 a litre if you buy branded Tornado Fuel.. Choose wisely..

Hi Sreedhar,

You need to tell your requirement / intent on using the car.
What do you plan to do with the car?
What is your budget?
Then I can suggest something that suits your Need.

If you're starting,I would advise you to start with electrics. If you have experience with nitro engines, you can get a nitro. And yeah, what is your budget? And like jayanth said, what is the pattern of usage will your car go through?

For Bashing.. Just stick to Monster Truck, but im not sure u will get anything below 20k in India. TT MTA4 is best option for you..Kyosho Giga Crusher can be bought for that price. There is guy in Bangalore, His name is Bharath. He is sellin the Kyosho Giga Crusher, I dont if it is used or brand new..Can find out for you. Speak to modelart for Thunder Tiger MTA4..

Barath has very less stuff on stock as he is on his way out. I guess he still has the Kyosho MFR and DST in stock.

Stampede is 2WD. Do some research on it. I would suggest a minimum Tmaxx. Traxxas India prices are very close to amainhobby+shipping+customs. Check it and decide.

I believe Tmaxx cost more than 20K. I think for that budget, you can get a Rustler in Traxxas or Tomahawk ST in TT

Go for a Tomahwak ST .good car, looks great ,easy spares availability, 1/10 scale, 4x4
will cost around 19k with all the stuff included

traxxas nitro will not be anything less than 25k
same with HPI
Losi not available
Duratraxx not available(some people sell it but no spares)

another car i can suggest is a short course truck(looks much like a slash)
Vortex SS nitro costs around 17k +fuel, fuel bottle, glow driver
does 70kmph, spares might be a pro but otherwise its fine

you can get a tomahawk bx for 15k including everything , nice car, does 80kmph, but low ground clearence and also not at all meant for jumps

traxxas nitro sports and stampede are available for 20k excluding fuel, fuel botle, glow driver
but they are not really good, they are 2wd as well and stampede is famous for its lasyness
