Title: Dogbone Retention Issues
Post by: djdrift on August 11, 2016, 11:15:29 AM
My front dogbone keeps slipping out of the wheel axle...

What to do???
Granted that the car has collided a few times...
But I just got the car yesterday...

Mine is an Exceed RC 1/10 Infinitive EP Brushless...

When does the dogbone pop out? Is it at maximum steering lock or maximum suspension travel? If so, you could limit them to prevent the problem from occurring.

If your drive cups are damaged and the cause of the problem, your best bet would be to replace them. You can try DIY fixes like using heatshrink tubing to hold the dogbones in, but will add binding in your suspension.

You'll need a drive cup for the Infinitive. If you can find other cars it shares driveline parts with, there's a chance the drive cups are interchangeable.

This was fixed...
I did a DIY fix by placing a small rubber tubing in the differential side... Inside the driving cup...
This led to removal of the looseness of the dogbone...
