Sideways forever

Hi,
I was doing my usual drift session, it had a little bump with the wall and the wheels stopped spinning, only the motor does now.
I have had much harder bumps earlier and never had this problem.

here's the video

It is fixed, and not adjustable unlike some other cars, so i have no idea how to fix it, since nothing can be moved out of its place.

Any ideas?

Have you checked if you have any broken teeth on the gear/s?

Well, it's pretty much impossible to have a car with no settings for gear mesh. Chances are, one of the screws holding the motor mount moved out and the whole setup is out of alignment. The worst case scenario is that the chassis is tweaked so much, that the gear mesh has gone off but I really don't think that is the issue here. There has to be some way to adjust the gear mesh on the TT01.

EDIT: A quick google search later, I'm amazed. It does have no particular gear mesh adjustment. There is one way TT01 guys seem to adjust their mesh.

It's pretty clear in reply #4 here and reply #2 here. Hope that fixes your problem.

Mugen Seiki Rules

This is common. Did you blue-thread lock the motor screws? If not, please do. You will save your spur gear

A small addition to Ajo's post above. ONLY use threadlock if the motor mount is made of aluminium. Threadlock is quite corrosive and will kill plastic. If the screw is going into plastic, just put some CA glue on the last two threads of the screw. Your motor mount does look like metal but I though I'd let you know...

Either way, now you know NOT to loctite a screw going into plastic without learning the hard way.
