I know that there is a similar topic on this forum but i created this post to know that what should i use to stick my tires as i am running a brushless motor which has immense speed due to which tires balloon or swell up on throttle and hence the side wall comes off. What should i use to keep them stuck. Please suggest

I guess normal CA glue works right for such applications.

I use only Duratrax tire glue. Local CA may work, but your foam may be damaged. Since I am using expensive tires sets such as Proline, I dont want to take a chance.

but is it really durable, where is it available?

BTW can you suggest me some proline tires for TTr Sparrowhawk XT

You can use Proline CA glue specially made for gluing tires.

Hey Dude,

I had similar problem with my buggy.. After every tank of fuel, i used to sit and stick my tires..R&D solved my issue.. Till date my tires look like they have been stuck for a life time..

Buy a filer.. Since the tires come with a soft non sticky layer, they do not stick well no matter what glue you use.. Use the file to nicely file both the sides of the tire that comes in contact with plastic wheel.. The surface has to be rough..

Once you are done with the tires.. Now do the same for the wheels.. The wall has to be rough.. Dont do too much as plastic will get peeled of alot.. Make sure they are really rough.. Now the foam.. You have cut little bit of the inside of the foam to make sure the tires dont bulge once you put the foam back in..You can see some videos on you tube.. Will find the video that helped me and post it for you..

Now wash and brush the tires and wheel with Surfel Excel or Rin soap that we use for washing clothes. Wipe them dry with dry cloth..You will find the surface little stick compared to before.. Thats a good sign.. Let it rest for some time.. Before you stick them use the hair drier on the tire walls just to pre heat them a little bit so that when they cool off they stick like a charm..

Stick one side of the tire and let it rest for 10mins then work on the other side.. Meanwhile, you stick the same side for the rest of tires..Once all the tires are dried, do a close insepection, if you see a small opeing on the wall fill it with glue.. As it is these areas that tend to give up faster..Once the glue has dried up, Pull the tire by the hand with some good amount of force.. If they dont come out, then its good to get them running on track..

Make sure you put 2 small holes opposite to each on the Wheel before to start to stick the tires - This will help the air to escape out..

You tire may ballon or infate even if the differential are not properly set.. Use Thicker diff oil to make sure the power gets transmitted to wheels properly.. Hence problem solved..

BTW i used only Anabond glue that is sold in Hardware shops.. I should thanks Ajo for helping me with essential tips during my R&D..

Wipe any excess glue immediately with damp cloth as this will make your wheels look clean..

Get urself the Proline CA tyre glue 15-20 sec, they are available in India.

what price

proline tire glue costs a insane amount here in india around Rs700+.

I use team losi tire glue,but i also have bead lock wheels from maximizer which are pretty good.

where did u get losi glue?

I got the losi glue from amain hobbies and store them in fridge,should last a long time.

Rotor.co.in in has bob smith CA glue which perhaps is better then the regular CA glue available such as Super Glue.

I would choose Proline than Bob smith.. Proline glue is ment for the tires and its only Rs.200 more than Bob smith CA glue..
