I wish to ask the esteemed members of this forum that how can I procure an Associated SC8.2e at a reasonable price?
I can import it from tower hobbies etc but then import duties will come into the picture.

Can anyone get it for me at competitive price? If not then how much will be the import duties? (Price ~ $540)

It's a wonderful car but spares will be a slight problem.

Shipping and customs will kill you on the price front.

I was very impressed with this model once and wanted to import. It will cost quite a bomb to do so. I decided to convert a buggy to SC8 which now on sale here with better power system than OE. You need just the front and rear bumper and body:

Thanks mail4ajo But I think SC8 has RC8T truggy chassis. If I fail in my queries then I will surely intimate you for that nice buggy 
without motor system as I have got one spare.

And you have owned so many Mugens... how much import duty did you paid for them?
Since here in Mumbai somebody was selling me Savage Flux 8 months back for about 55000/-
I would have paid him but he could not source it I went with MT4 G3 instead which is very good.
My budget is around 45000/- I wish to know whether I can land SC8.2e with it?

which ever cars i had imported always paid around about 5000rs customs. value 450$ plus some shipping. but that was one year back. my last car i imported few months back i paid nothing but the post office or customs misplaced a few parts worth 40$ . so i think becuz of it no customs was charged.

Customs is a game of luck. I have cleared many with no or ultra low customs. Some get stopped and others taxed heavy.

Personal Import Tax is 42%.. There is 50 - 50 chance you may get charged this much if it is being shipped to you. If it has a radio then another 50 - 50 chances it may get stuck for Radio license. Personal import is always a risk. Delhi, Mumbai and Chennai customs is always strict.. 

If you are looking at eBuggy, consider the Ofna Nexx8 as well..
