Hello friends,
After seeing some nitro RCs drifting on youtube, it sparked my interest in them. But as i am just a beginner, i would be buying an electric RC first. I also observer we can change motors, gears etc in nitro RCs. The thing is, can we modify electric RCs too? and if yes, till what extent? thanking all of you in advance!

It'd help if you were specific on the type of mod. You can do pretty much everything on an electric that you can do with a nitro. You can even convert them to each other Smiley

I was thinking about changing the motor for a higher rpm. I googled it and found brushless motors to be good. As i am yet to buy a RC car, what ratio car should i take? i.e 1:8 , 1:16 etc as there should be space for the new motor too. And my friend pointed out that brushless needs AC current. At this point i am confused  Huh?

just get a brushless motor and its associated controller from any hobby website. you can also buy the gears/ pulleys/belts for transmitting the power to the wheels.
