Title: Help with RC Car PCB

Hello All,

I needed some assistance and am appealing for the same from anyone who can come up with some workable solutions.
I was trying to repair a very old Artin TC car Jeto Dyn which has not been working. It has some sentimental value because of which I am not discarding it.

This is a 27 MHz RC car has an IC which is damaged. This I believe is the Receiving IC with details as below.

RX2
8A241Q1 902

This part is not available and may not be too what with current situations.
Can anyone advise if there is any equivalent IC that can be used, or if any other PCB can be used in its place. The existing PCB has no number, I am attaching a photo for all its worth. I am willing to change both the PCB's or boards - in the remote as well as in the car. Or else, if there is any other economical way to get the car operational again, that advise would also be very highly appreciated.

I trust with such great users on this forum, I might get some workable solutions. Any other advice - like throw it away - may also be usable if nothing works!!!!!

TX2 RX2 is a very very popular combo used in all those budget toys available online with non-proportional control. Basically, four momentary switches for forward, reverse, left, right.

While you can easily salvage this IC from one of those toys based boards (the complete toy will cost you less than Rs. 500) but it is too much effort. I'd recommend using the PCBs from the toy to replace this PCB altogether, mount with some hot glue. Yes, you will need to replace the TX component too because they're bound with some undocumented protocol.

Thank you very much for your reply, highly appreciate the advice. I was also thinking on the same lines, but do not have the expertise you have. If I could take up some more of your time please. My car works on 6AA rechargeable batteries and the remote on 9V. So the PCB's I use as replacement should also be similarly rated right? At least for the receiving board.

Can you please also look at the links attached and let me know if any of these boards/cars will be suitable?

No pressure, but would definitely like your opinion on this. Also, I am a it concerned about connecting all wires from the motors back as the newer boards seem to be a different.

Hi

The 433mhz rf module from robu won't work out of the box. Its a data transmission module

The one from Amazon should.

Regarding your concern of the differences in board and the working voltages please share some pictures of the motors you wish to drive with the board. The only parameter here would be the current really, let's speak on a call. Sharing my number with you on pm.

Thanks very much again. I understand regarding the boards. I am attaching two images of the motors, although they may not be very clear. There is not much detail on the motors too. I will call once you have had a chance to look at these images. Thanks a lot again.
