Post by: rdx on January 21, 2016, 02:36:44 PM
So after a long long wait was finally able to completed my 1/5 dbxl build. It was a great experience to build my own 1/5 petrol rc buggy. Will update as I progress further. Will start the engine and do the running in tomorrow.

No tabs on the exact cost but it did cost me cheaper than the retail rtr version. As for the rc shops, it depends on what kind of rc do you want,,, if your kid is 14+ you can get him a hobby grade rc from any good rc shops in India. You can visit ur local hobby store or u can check out other online hobby stores. Don't have much idea about toy grades though never bought one. Toy grade rc can be bought from most of the toy stores in ur city I suppose. Also as you know hobby grade rc truck dosent come cheap so if you have the budget buy a good and durable rc truck with good parts support. You can have a look at the traxxas xmaxx as this will preferably   be my next Rc truck.  Robust durable and huge. In 1/10 u can go for traxxas slash. Check traxxas.in , rcbazaar.com , rcskyhobby.com etc

No not that cheap, its around 70k plus till now. Now waiting for the new dbxl K&N livery version body pannels with K&N filter. Will really open up  the 26cc losi 5ive T engine unit. Tuned pipe is also on my wish list . Xmaxx will be another build project of mine as I get to purchase the parts in installments instead of selling out the whole amount at once for the completed  rtr...easy on my pocket that is. Have to complete the super 5sc flux as well ...as it's on hold due to some parts availability issue's. Will update soon. As of now Xmaxx is out of stock in most of the hobby stores. And there is a shortage of stock for the same. So you will have to wait for the availability. If you are in a hurry check rcmart.com  but the shipping is on the higher side compared to others.
