No way 2S LiPo can make it upto 50mph
Only with a 3S and higher gearing you can run it upto 60+mph

8.4 V Ni-Mh 3000mah = 35mph  (STOCK GEARING 13/54)
8.4 V Ni-Mh 3000mah = 40mph  (pinion 18T 18/54)
2S 5000mah LiPo 40C = 35 mph (STOCK GEARING 13/54)
2S 5000mah LiPo 40C = 45 mph (19T pinion 19/54)
3S 5000mah LiPo 40C = 45mph  (STOCK GEARING 13/54)
3S 5000mah LiPO 40C = 60mph  (19T pinion = 19/54)

@Rajath   No upgrades planned yet.Major ones(lipo) coming after my exams.My bro doesn't make for the greatest company.I would prefer a friend.my bro is always like the big guy telling me what to do.I've researched rc for 6 months not him .And he is too adventurous with the slash.on the terrace,he hits full throttle and hits full brake and tells me how well it stops.

@Divyam  My slash can crash.I've had about 6 small touches and about 5 pretty big collisions and the slash just walks out of it.My brother has already driven it.At first,he was skeptical.He wanted me to go for a PS3.Now,he loves it.But that starts a problem.SHARING.......I hate to share > >...especially with my brother.


@Arpit  Thanks for the speed chart .I really doubt how long I can even keep up with 50mph.the stock one is fast enough.Either way,on track,3s would be useless .

might sound useless for u right now, but once you get used to it, u will starve for a 3s performance

You have to come out and drive on a track. Playing on your terrace will get you no where and will damage your car.

Pitstop is your closest place till the new track is up.

I not pitstop atleast a larger area will hlp gain a lot of confidence.

Where will a new track come up?I am asking because you are saying"the new track" instead of 'a new track'.

We Chennai guys are driving 220kms and 3hrs every week for practicing on our track. Consider yourself lucky.

Oh man!! You guys need to have a track nearer to where you live.How is the traffic there compared to Bangalore.The traffic in Bangalore sucks.And I am saying that just by sitting im the front seat with my dad.Wait till I start using expletives about the traffic when I begin to drive. >

That's why riding a cycle/bike is a faster way to travel in Bangalore! TERRIBLE traffic from a cycler's point of view..

Very true divyam - i use my cycle for anything within 6 kms radius.

I will be a prick on the roads.My dad doesn't allow me to ride anywhere too far because I have no consideration towards other guys on the roads.I just cut someone off.And also,I am too afraid to get out due to a fall I had when I was 8 years old.Call it 'post traumatic stress disorder'.Just an excuse for me not to ride my bicycle again.The traffic is bad from anybody's point of view.

@iamhuman - You will damage the car a lot less if u drive on the track. pitstop is a great way to get into racing. Try to make it for the RCINC nov 27th,28th.

i would suggest u check with jayanth about the upgrades, get urself the proline undetray, chevy silverado body, caliber or bow tie tyre setup.

@arpit - I would suggest 2s for track use as the traxxas esc doesnt allow multiple settings like mamba. All of us use 2s or 4s for racing applications and 3s or 6s only for straight line speed.

I would agree with Ajo, we drive to panvel every sunday to drive on track. So u should consider urself lucky.

I cannot make it this year but I will be there next year.Jayanth already briefed me about the upgrades.The tyres will bea sureshot change but I might pass on the undertray.I will make do with the 'tape mod'.For the tires though,(I haven't asked anyone yet)what compund would be good on the Bangalroe track(Pitstop)?

Look at getting the M2 compound for now. I was running that on the Vorza and D8 for the pitstop race and it seemed like a good choice. Plus the tyres last a decent amount of time.
