Title: Need Help for Nitro Car.
Post by: miginstruments on August 02, 2014, 06:36:01 PM
Hi friends I am a newbee in nitro cars. Recently I bought Turnigy 1 16 Nitro Buggy from Hobbyking but found some problems with it. Since am a Newbee in this hobby hence I need some help n valuable suggestions from forum members. when I opened up the box of my buggy I found tat the poul start is slipping. I removed the pull start ymade some adjustments then rejoined it n then it worked fine but only for some pulls. then I came to knew tat there is a common issue with the one _way bearing of this buggy. I cleaned it upy n now its working a bit fine but I need to do some minor adjustments every time I touch my car. now the problem is my car is not getting started. I am unable to start this car even for once. I went through some videos over youtube n tried everything but of no use. can anyone please guide me how to deal with this issue.

hello miginstruments
1. first try to bring ur tuning back to base settings....it must be there in the user manual...( dont do this if u have not touched the tuning needles )
2. check ur glow plug and glow igniter.

well the car is starting now but its revving too high, I tried some needle settings but it stalls. there is a leak in the head through glow plug tried to patch it up but partial success. also its throwing lot of oil through exhaust, dont know maybe the leak is the reason. suggest me. Thanks in Advance.

hi
1. leak from the exhaust suggests that the high speed needle is set to rich..lean it out a bit.
2. revving high means your idiling needle is set to high...turnit counterclockwise till it reaches a steady idle.
3.leak from glow plug i am not sure...try removing the glow plug and putting it back again gently.

here is a link for how to reach steady revvs and tuning....
