Mugen Seiki Rules

Guys, I am just sharing what I have seen over the last few years with HSP and various unknown chinese brands. Doesnt make me an expert.

When I refer to support, it can mean email technical support, local setup and spares help etc. Try sending an email to Traxxas, HPI and even TT. You will receive a response in hours most of the time. You can find some sort of spares and support with these brands in India. For a begginner, its critical.

I dont need either support or spares. I know how to find them. For a begginer, the easiest way to get frustated is to have issues and no one to help. I went through this.

Dont compare RC to real cars. You will never buy a car with out service. In hobby, every thing is plain expensive. A traxxas or HPI may cost a little more to produce than a TT, definately not the extra they charge. The support, global parts availability etc is all that makes the difference. It costs money to have technical and R&D people, maintain inventory and dealer network.

If the decision is already made, good luck.

My Recent Buy ThunderTiger 1/10 SSK V2 Nitro Truck

mail4ajo: You r very right but now u have used nice words to explain. Dont you think ur last estatement can hurt ppl who r having these chines brand.

obviously no one will buy real car without suppost but still support of maruti and support of big brand like BMW. have huge difference becoz they are charging for that.
I m sure you have not used HSP from long time. now situation has changed.
and now parts are available on many websites.
like 1 or 2 year back I hardly found LHS but now they are available with enough inventory.
If I have Align Heli then it doesnt mean I should say HK or orher chines brand r bador use harsh words.

we should respect everyone in this hobby.

I hope I conveyed my message.

Thanks

Go for the best.  Use internet rather than asking too much.  Else every brands pros and cons will come out here.  As gbisht saying , go with your budget.  Thumbs Up
Also@hellfire: what false information. U can't categorize hpi n tt in same category. If you own tt, can't help it.  Bow
Enjoy the hobby as it suits
Have a great day all

Aren't you the one who said "no one here should be allowed to undergrade any brand" what happed to that,So by you saying you can't categorize TT in the same category as TT then you don't follow your own words.

TT is a big RC company, its owns AE or Team Assoiciated(Some of their products are just rebadged from AE or TT and some share the same core components) and has stake in many other RC companies,so there is now reason not to categorize them in the same category. It you deal with  HPI can't help it.

No one wants to buy a chinese brand when they can afford a hpi or assocaited, so please think and post<No Offense>

Thunder tiger has been Grossly under estimated, even after their excellent models like EB4 series and latest MT4G3 which is as good as a savage flux if not better.
Its just in india, i have been active on a lots of forums searching about TT products, and i was not surprised to find that TT actually had a great response all over the world be it Australian American or English forums.
TT has all products, the totally entry level one which are very cheap, thus an obvious compromise on quality, while cars like MT4 and EB4 which according to many are bash and race ready. Direct competition to Savage Flux and Vorza.
I wont be afraid to say that some of the dealers of the so called High quality brands are really scared of the Aggressive pricing of TT and thus have made a taboo for TT calling it as breakable crap. I totally accept that their cars like phoenix and tomahawk are really low end but come on, you compare  a $120 TT with a $220 HPI  and prove it tuff, totally biased. Its just like some one comes to buy a Nano, and then you tell him "Man Nano is cheap stuff,i'll tell you,get an alto, its lot more worth, no matter its 1 lac more expensive, but its more tough, just spend a little extra"
I know so many people who are really fans of the thunder tiger .28 (4.6cc) engine and and consider it one of the most durable and refined engines in the market.
I really mean no offense to any HPI/Trx dealer, in fact i respect them because they may be more experienced than me.

And the folk saying invest a little more and get a so called High Quality vehicle,i'd say, if i am getting a 4.6cc TT truck on a very proven and rugged design and with tons of after market support, and on the other hand a so called High quality brand 4.6cc Truck with just the same features for 40-42k, i would close my eyes and go for the TT,because with that extra 14-15k i could get tons of spares,or if i am a real bad basher could get aluminum and CF parts and make my truck hell lot strong to take any kind of beating.

Another thing i noticed is that i saw two brands of truck, same scale, same engine capacity same dimensions and same shipping weight, made in USA and shipped from USA, both had same listed price on tower hobbies and a lot of other sites as well

To sum up, don't trust anyone, just search on the international forums where the so called high quality brand dealers are not trying to make fool out of people and then get something that is more value for money and suits your need.

And i repeat this again,i am not against any Dealers from any brrand,i respect you all folks.

Y this Kolaveri guys. Very simple, Brands with full Support for cars in India are Ofna Hongnor, Alpha Engines, Thunder Tiger, FG, HPI, Traxxas and Losi (Excuse me if i have left out any other brand for cars ).. Any brand that is not available in India can survive as long as the buyer is ready to spend $40 on shipping for a $10 part.. This is why local support is important when you want to be in the hobby for a long time..
