The main needle is 2.5 turns from closed.

For the low needle, the instructions say :

Quote
The mixture metering screw of your carburetor has been preadjusted at the factory. If it is screwed in or out too far, reset it as follow:

Screw in the mixture metering screw slowly until you begin to feel resistance. Do not force it, otherwise the fuel nozzle of the spray bar may be damaged by the tip of the screw! Now screw out the mixture metering screw about 1 turn.

Found this but sadly nothing of my use. Sad

HSN = High Speed Needle
LSN = Low Speed Needle

Unless stated assume all settings are anti clockwise turns opening the needles as you go.

Keep it simple and clean and we will all benefit.

Heres some to start off......

AR21 & AR28 appear identical.

Ansmann Racing AR28, not confirmed but a good starting point.
HSN - 4-4.5 turns out
LSN - Flush
IDLE 1mm open

GO .28 3 Port
HSN - 3.25-3.5 turns out from fully in.
LSN - 1 turn in from flush
IDLE - 1mm gap

Hyper Macstar .28 6 Port
HSN - 4.5 turns out from closed
LSN - 2.5 turns out from closed
IDLE 1-1.5mm open

Hot Bodies .26 Powerhouse

HSN - 3.5 Turns from fully closed.
LSN - 3.5 Turns from fully closed.
Idle - 1mm open.

Kyosho GX21 Engine
HSN - 4 Turns out from fully closed
LSN - 0.5mm in from flush on valve
IDLE 1mm Gap in carb

Leo .15, not confirmed but a rough starting point.
HSN - 2.5 turns
LSN - 3 turns
IDLE 1 mm open

LRP Z.28 Spec 3
HSN - 3.75 Turns From Closed
LSN - 3.75 Turns From Closed
IDLE Gap between 0.5mm and 1.0mm open

Mach 427 (lst2 and muggy)
HSN - 4 turns out from bottom
LSN - 2,5 turns out from bottom

OS .21 V-spec
HSN - 3 Turns out from fully closed
LSN - Flush on valve
IDLE 1mm gap in carb

RB TM523
HSN - 6 turns from closed
LSN/IDLE Needle - 5 turns from closed

Schumacher X18
HSN - 2 1/2 turns out
LSN - 0.70mm in from flush
IDLE 0.50mm open

Schumacher R18
HSN - 2-4 turns out
LSN - 3-41/2 turns out
IDLE 0.75mm open

SH .28
HSN - 3 turns out
LSN - 3 turns out
IDLE 1mm open

Team Associated / Thunder Tiger 28 Pro Duel Start Engine
HSN - 2.75 turns
LSN - 2/2.5 turns

Thunder Tiger Pro .21
HSN - 2.5 Turns
LSN - 1.5 Turns or Flush
IDLE 1mm open

TRX PRO .15
HSN - 2.5 turns out
LSN - Flush with throttle arm assembly
IDLE 1-1.5mm open

TRX 2.5 & 3.3

I found a loophole there.

TT's car's manual states that
LSN- 6 1/2 turn
HSN- 3 1/2 - 4 turns

While the engine manual says that
LSN- Flush than 1-1 1/2 turns
HSN- 3 1/2 turns.

That was the main point of confusion.

Engine manual says that ? It is not the PDF I linked to ?

BTW, both the above settings are same for the HSN and COULD be the same LSN.  Remember that these are guidelines, not absolute values.

The common advise I have seen at the LHS here for TT engines is 6 turns on LSN and 3 to 4 turns for HSN, for break-in or when-in-doubt.

Actually, the car is like 5-8 tanks old but was kept aside for a long time, and thus needed a retuning, and was not starting at 6 turns of LSN but did by flushing the needle and 1 turns counter clock rotation

And yes your link is the engine manual, but the car manual says to turn the lsn completely clockwise and then back 6.5 turns which seems irrational because on doing so the needle is prety much sticking out of the body, similar to idle screw...!!!
