Title: New Tamiya MO5 Pro project!
Post by: gokemidoro on January 02, 2011, 12:46:44 PM
Hey, all!

Just finished this MO5 Pro, took a while, was waiting on a body, but everything's done, and it's a little screamer!
First the pics:

Here's a vid showing some really modded MO5's, and how they do at the track!

And here's a little girl who practiced for only one day, then raced, and WON!

So this is the FWD car?

Yes. Actually, it's not that new, because the MO6 is already out, but it is FWD, whereas the MO6 is rear-wheel. I put up this thread, because the MO5 is just so much fun, even if it isn't tire-shredding fast. As you saw in the vids, they won't go faster than 20-22 MPH, but they turn on a dime, and at full speed! :giggle:
They are a great diversion from the more serious aspects of RC, and can be run on drift courses, when you need a break!!

They are a ton of laughs, because they look like cockroaches scattering when the lights are turned on!! ;D :giggle: :giggle:

Hey, all!!

Just mounted a 15T motor and new ESC in the little blaster, and gained 15MPH, which, in the MO5, is a major gain!!

Might have to put a gyro in it, to keep the little cockroach   :giggle:  from spinning out at higher speeds!

It'll do 35 easy, now!!

35mph?!  man.
Does it really need a gyro to prevent spin man?!  :o For someone who would never need gyro's for a drift, wanting for the MO5 is  :giggle: :giggle:

I tried the gyro out in my garage, and it makes the MO5 act weird. I took it off, and it spins out really easy, if I'm not careful. Better tires will be the next mod!! ;D
