Slash from all angles in action!

Yeah. Grin

The magnets start getting damaged at around 200F.My motor was doing 130-140 when I checked. But it was close to the limit. It ran cooler with lipos. The rotor is around 10F hotter than the can.180 is the max safe limit.

Hey with 40F you have some leverage. With nitro's we're told not to exceed 270F and we keep it between 250 to 260. Is it the same for electrics ?

Not really. Our motors shouldn't go over 200F.VXLs have overheat protection.

BL Motors are meant to go that hot!

I think I found out why my VXL was running hot on that day.I suffer from 'nitro finger'.It means I blip the throttle. That causes amp spikes and raises temps.I should drive smoothly from now on.I remember blipping the throttle on the straight and the corners.SO it warrants a change in driving style.I hope that one run did not cause any problems.

And if my ESC didn't go into thermal shutdown,I don't think my motor became too hot.

Was the track horrible or was it reasonably ok? I heard that it is in a horrible condition as of now....

Sorry about your bearing. Was this the new one?

From the videos it looks like its not been maintained well. I see a lot of small stones on the surface. No problems for the monsters i guess Wink

The track was in a bad condition. Small branches, lots and lots of leaves (kept getting stuck between the dogbone and turnbuckle) and gravel heaps and dried bushes. I did not expect anything so i didnt have any problem with the track condition. Hope things are better next time.

The tyres gave up - hardly any traction - easy to drift Cheesy

It was more of a bashing session for me Cheesy

Nope this was the stock bearing. It happened after an hour of running or so.
