Title: Race track etc
Post by: anwar on September 03, 2009, 02:30:24 PM
Finally went to see a little bit of local RC Car racing action here in Qatar a few days back.  The local enthusiasts built a track on their own on a vacant piece of land, and now they are getting the support of the authorities (as even some members of the ruling family are coming to participate there).

This looks like something a few friends can setup anywhere in India, and looks like a lot of fun.  May be I will also get a car one of these days  :P

Great effort by the qatar boys on the track.

Nowadays, most monster trucks and electrics have reverse. But not allowed in racing. My truggy doesnt have one, since its meant for racing. Some people take the reverse out to avoid strain on the transmission in nitro cars. Electrics have reverse built into their ESCs.

I rarely use the reverse, but its a nice to have feature.
