Title: R/C Racing and driving tips.
Post by: iamahuman on February 24, 2011, 08:45:21 PM
I thought we should have a thread where we post what one should do when one races.Videos, info given out from personal experience would be highly appreciated.Since I have no experience on a track,I will start off with a video. For those who don't know this man, this is Ryan Maifield, the Factory Team driver for Team Associated. He has won many races and was the 2009 champion.

Ryan Maifield is my race hero. His knowledge of not only racing, but also on different cars, tyres, mods etc is amazing. I am extremely privileged to have received some tips about my car, tuning and racing in general from the man himself at Pattaya. He cleared a lot of myths and rumours about RCs. He was very down to earth compared to some others and even showed me some prototype parts he was running on the RC8.

I literally cried when he lost the race badly inspite of coming in the top 10 qualifiers with good timing.

The man and his machine.

As of now im backing Atsushi Hara. He is extremely talented young chap who has a impressive list of titles behind him. Both onroad and offroad. He helped me setup my first D8 more than 2 years ago. He is very helpful but language is a major problem. I think his english must have improved by now.

I dont there is any fixed theory on how to race better. The only thing is can tell you is that car setup is as important as driving well. A good setup can win you races.

One thing you should not do is done in this video in the end.Keep your temper low and respect the other competitors.Look at 5:10 onwards.

Hi

I am not able to view or download the video from this forum

i tried different browsers. In chrome it just shows a blank space in the place of the video.
In firefox there is a download link below the empty gap but it leads to another dark page and displays "connection lost"

Video downloaders like IDM, orbitt donot detect any video streaming

Admin or anyone help please???
