Title: Aftermath :: New Drone Laws in India
Post by: crazyhorse21 on November 28, 2017, 06:54:44 PM
hi,

due to the recent advent of rules drafted by DGCA on drones/etc...

Has this helped individuals or LHS import full drones kits, spare parts, materials, etc. easily into India ???

How are the customs reacting to packages with drone/parts ??

Pls share any recent experiences, especially with Blore customs or other city customs ?

thanks in advance

chX

Nothing. Infact, its worse. Two of my toy/hobby grade drones have been stuck, and they insist that they are RC quadcopters. Said they will confiscate in 7 days. Its purely harassment and loss.

They are still a draft.
How can they effect anyone until they are put into force?

It is indeed worse. In the past I've got large radios and RC trucks from abroad without any hitches.
But, recently even the smallest of parcels are being torn open and checked. Every order I've received over the past week was opened and resealed by customs. Thankfully, everything inside was intact.
