i recently purchased makeup brushes online from ireland based site via registered insured mail service(An post) on 25th feb 2015 on 27th & 28 I'm able to  track my shipment later on i couldn't see any update from anpost.ie .i even called customs on 10th march 2015 they said ur shipment not yet received in india
can any one tell me what could be happened
can i expect my shipment to be delivered any time soon
please help

yeah from that date on I'm not seeing any updates i called customs at mumbai too they said we haven't received shipment yet i called anpost ireland they said it reached to india post
till now no more information other than that

@ Divu:- Well I think you will have to wait as sometimes Indian Foreign Post Office/Customs take time to update the status even after they have received it.
@jsquadman:- your item has returned from Customs as I see I think it has cleared customs that's good news right?? I am not sure this is only what I think.

I have been buying on similar mode from EBay and Banggood too and have faced similar issues.  On interaction with the Indian Postal Dept the following was made clear....
1.   Indian post does tracks registered parcels sent only by air shipping.... i.e. EMS or speed post.
2.   Tracking of these items by the country's postal department where the item was purchased may be possible but they will also give you details till "dispatched to India" stage.... or dispatched to Mumbai / Chennai etc only.
3.   All you need to do is wait for a while.... sometimes for 30 odd days.
4.   The postman though comes home with the registered parcel dilivery sheet and needs your signature for dilivery of the item.  This means that the item is "registered" at each location where it has been and can be tracked by the postal department as per its journey when required or at a later date.

A similar issue comes up when purchased from HK by the cheapest registered shipping mode...

Hope this solves your problems to an extent....

@ shatul ok shatul so I think they are requiring proof of purchase for your item so what you can do that is contact the Delhi FPO Or Mumbai fpo where the parcel is stuck and ask them where to send and what to send ?? and maybe you will get a letter from customs that your item is stuck and it requires proof of purchase.

I will wait for the letter but incase i don't get it within a week then why should i contact FPO ? why not CED DELHI-2 as it says in the tracking that its held there.

Its Better to contact Delhi FPO because they can tell in more information about your shipment at this moment so no need to contact Mumbai FPO and just contact DELHI FPO if you dont receive the letter.

i called FPO @ the mentioned number but they said u need to contact customs department and for customs contact number call on 011-23233325 so i called there but it doesn't connect

First of all Welcome To The Forum. So I did track your parcel in IPS web Tracking Actually I am too confused but I think it will be done like that as It Is Indian Customs Procedure Way. So what you can do is that Contact Mumbai FPO and ask them and tell them this parcel is for Pune so going to Kolkota If its a procedure then don't worry but if they don't have a answer then no problem we will find out a way and yes one more thing your parcel has cleared customs this is what I think. As it is returned from Customs.
