I paid $999 + $150 shipping and why you not personally recommend this

Because of the problems involved with the customs here in India

But people here say DHL is more safe then EMS by anyway DHL try their best to deliver the parcel ....but my query is that how dealers in india get their parcel

Even I have the same question... how dealers get it?? may be in bulk or may be some other way.. I am lucky as I got most of the things from my cousin who lives in US

The parcel has two gifts, a hand made card. It has to reach Delhi for my friend's birthday. And its just a week away. what should i do? please guide me

     Aman my sister received the parcel y'day at 15.45 pm & had to pay INR 895 to mail man as I'm in the US I couldn't get in touch with the bangalore customs again after repeated calls from me from past few days,In any case as she has received it & happy,INR 895 is just fine with me,rather running around customs office.I'm really thankful to you aman for providing immediate information

@flycamindia: Hi, customs may ask you to show bank details and they can retain this parcel in such a case.

In value evidence you can provide any of the following for clearance:
 
1) B.R.C. (Bank Remittance copy)
2) Internet Price
3) Manufacturer’s Price List

@flycamindia: You don't need to pay any amount officially. If, by any chance they ask to provide value evidence, you simply request them to assess the value by themselves.

Just keep a proper track. Be positive!

Well I hope there Is no Prohibited item inside like Radio Tx/rx As s gift or Any Small Quad with Tx/rx if yes then it will stuck mate if no then its okay that's not a problem. First Of all Welcome To The Forum. Now I understand that Mate as you have paid about 999 $ plus 150 $ shipping well yes that's a  about 72000 Rs. Well as its coming By DHL there will be no Problem In contacting them and getting even the status of the parcel the problem is that they have to clear it I hope they should clear it mate but nowadays as you know about customs They are not clearing Bigger Quads.But I hope that They clear this first is clearing then the Duties will be applied and there is 80 % of chance that the Duties will be applied.But I did have a talk with them they said its takes 4 to 5 days for clearance but I hope it should get cleared in 2 to 3 days if they clear it then only or it will be stuck.
Second Thing if possible will you be able to Provide me the Tracking Number I will like to the status if possible then only.
But No Problem I do have the Bangalore DHL Office number and will try to contact them Mate. One More Number Is given In Their Website too.

Now as you have asked that How does the Dealers import ?? even I want to know the full process but I have heard about IEC Code that is Import export code.It is a type of license through which we can import one specific product for which you have got the license and that too for commercial purposes ( its also available for personal use but it is very hard to get with strong reason) other than that even I also don't know Shar.

@xngelo :- Well Its sent to Your nearest Post Office and then it will be sent to your Local Post Office for delivery. You can use Domestic Tracking System i.e www.indiapost.gov.in to know the parcel Whereabouts.

I really appreciate your help.. the parcel contains a pair of heels, a t shirt, a hand made card and a few chocolates... the lady at the china post ems center told me not to write gift on the customs form and leave it blank.. she told me it'll be cleared.. but now i regret not writing that

I hope it reaches soon. Thank you once again.. will wait for 2-3 days as you said before contacting them..

Can I use the SingPost consignment number on IndiaPost site for Domestic Tracking?
My pincode search returns three post offices. Is there any use visiting them and ask for the package?

Yes that is only I mean your tracking Number will be starting from like RA,RG or RF and then 9 numeric Digits and then SG  that is to be entered in the Domestic Tracking.

First Of All Welcome To The Forum. Now as you can see in the Status that it is in the Delhi Customs and now they are requiring the Proof of purchase and also its proof of Value. Well Actually in the image I see that it was examined yesterday on 29th April well it was just yesterday so you don't know need to worry mate. Well They want to See your invoice and your payment confirmation to get the correct value of the product. May I know your tracking Number If you can give then only as it is not visible in the image and also how much including shipping???And Yes you may soon receive a letter stating that the Customs is requiring the Documents that would be The Invoice and Proof Of purchase and if you don't receive a letter you can always contact them so  here are the Contact Details For Delhi FPO and Customs :-

@ Ravnish :- Well Thanks For updating the Tracking Number. Now Always remember once the parcel is dispatched and reached our country everything comes on us and seller doesn't take care of the Customs or any other Issues related to it.
Well yes there is a chance of like 40 to 60 % that duty maybe imposed on the articles well lets hope first that its gets cleared soon. And Yes about submitting Documents to The Customs you will have to wait a little because I think customs will send you a letter stating that they require the Invoice and all if you don't receive it soon then just contact the Customs by using above Mentioned contact details in my last post reply given to you and you can ask them 'where to send it??'

Aman i called at the number you provided.They are saying that i need to submit the copy of invoice.But should i tell them that i bought this online or should i say that it was a gift?Will they charge me more if i tell them i bought this?
