New rules on recreational drones will be announced today, requiring they be registered with the Department of Transportation. The move comes as the number of drones in the nation's skies has increased dramatically.

No matter how safe and advanced the drone technology is getting it still there are lot of uncertainity about environment we fly in ... Drones are still like machinery won't let it off guarded

Truth is truth; should not be swept under the carpet, but used to create constructive corrective action. It should be viewed as Lessons Learnt, after Root Cause Analysis. That will make the hobby safer in the long term

This is a very pertinent issue. Blades of drones are very dangerous. This incident reminds us not to fly drones near people or over people. It can crash and injure someone badly. No one should also fly drones in closed spaces or within rooms close to other people either. So many people are buying these things now and it may become a hazard if not used safely. Better be safe than sorry.

We should be really careful while flying Drones. The Topic of Drones nowadays and the incidents happening are increasing day by day. I don't know how the Government will respond to this issue ?

Whenever a new technology is introduced,  accidents are bound to happen. Its really tragic that this happened to a toddler.  We live in a country where there are still incidents where stray dogs steal and maul babies. This should be the last of our worries.. We Indians have much better and innovative ways of injuring and killing ourselves!
