Crazypilot +1. I too am searching for it. I am sure it will be somewhere in the vicinity of the "How to become a thoroughly corrupt millionaire", or "Lives of illustrious criminals" blogs. If you find it, share it..... Giggle

Its hard to survive in such a scene. Think about it guys - if some sincere youth joins politics at some point or the other he will either get fed up of the currouption and quit or will become currupt due to influence. Lokayukta Santosh Hegde for example (ex for sincerity not youth). Poor man was forced to quit because he couldnt take it!
First thing to do is VOTE!! I know so many in my college who didnt vote but complin endlessly about the governmemt! Very few students take interest to understand the system and time to check up on their candidate. When i asked why they voted for whomever they voted almost 50% said "because my parents voted for them".! And these are "educated" students.

Man I don't know wheather our voting makes a difference or not, but I do vote anyway. The problem lies in the way our knowledge is distributed. more than 80% of India lives in rural areas and I do not think they are bothered about the fact that we have corruption issues.
Consider this... a few months back a young girl was picked, in NOIDA outside a mall, up by a group of rowdies from a nearby village and gangraped by the group who were just feeling frustrated for having lost a local cricket match. When the group was picked up by the cops, all the village elders including the village head just did not understand why the cops picked their boys. In their own words "it was just a rape nothing more"!!!! This came out in papers.
The point is - if that is the way 80% of Indians think, then what difference does it make how the miniscule percentage thinks?
I do believe, there has been a suggestion to include "none of the above" in the ballot paper, but the parties are not agreeing to it.

We really can't help.Once we have given them control, there is nothing to stop them.Yes Rajat,Justice Santosh Hegde is a victim of this. Many more guys.If the officers(IAS)do something against the big guys, they are transferred.Corruption is rampant.Yeah,we need to do something, but nobody is ready to start. At least I am not.I would love to be an MP but with the present conditions,it does not seem attractive. And yeah,VOTING.We need some real sense. After 63 years of independence,we should have learnt some lessons. It is very apparent in our cities that we have not.

It is the youth who need to make a difference. I agree with the state of the poor and rural but we need someone to educate them.
A construction worker near my house voted for a candidate in tamilnadu just because he was promised a tv. The worker was given a tv for free (colour). He brought it to blore, paid Rs.500 for cable non-refundable deposit and watched tv for 3 days. The tv stopped working on the 4th day and the repair person said the tube had to be changed, tho cost of which was too high for the worker. So now he is Rs500 poorer and frustrated while the candidate whom he voted for is happy and rich.
