Just a precaution note for banggood users.
Banggood now ships through air parcel register (China post) even when IDM is opted.
And they don’t ask you first.
When complained, they said it’s their system doing and they have no control on it.
My order is almost 35 days and not reached. They don’t refund before 60 days.

Be warned of more things that just this. They ship via SudhirOpc, India Post , Alljoy etc etc whenever things suite them. So nowadays you may or may not receive the parcel. But you will get the money back when you dont get the parcel due to shipping issues .

How do I know if it's shipped via IDM? What does IDM tracking look like?

I know definitely  that RV****** is China post and which is air parcel register.
EQ*****, 6****** are all Gati and they are India direct Mail.

Couple of months ago, I have ordered some stuff via IDM from AliExpress. The tracking ID EQ*******IN shows the material is in transit for last 60 days. Got the money refunded but didn't get the items. Contacted the Gati customer service here, but they replied, they have no information on international shipment. It is strange.

I've ordered a lot of stuff from Banggood recently.

One of my repeated experiences is that paying a lot more for EMS is completely pointless. It almost always gets held for inspection by customs irrespective of how small or inexpensive the package is.

Stuff I ordered 2 weeks ago using EMS is still stuck in customs while that ordered later using IDM has already reached me.

I received the EMS parcel just now and Banggood has agreed to refund the full customs charges!  ;D

Any one know what courier it is?

Similar id parcel was delivered to my home by a courier named "SudhirOPC"

How many days it took?
Is there a website where we can track?

As long as product is insured, and "india direct", things arrive or else money comes back. 

What if they use china post (like in my case , even when idm opted) and customs block the item? Will bg still refund?

Actually SudhirOPC is probably not solely a courier. It's their agent in India. From china it comes through B2B channel to Sudhir OPC and from their they re-pack & ship through domestic courier to us that is B2C. May be BG is flanking some restrictions using this technique.

If the order is insured then you are not going to loose your money. But you definitely have to wait atleast 60 days to claim refund if you don't get the item.

Refund also takes ~1 week after approval that too only if you raise a request.
All this process means your money is not with you for approximately 70 days. This must be considered if your item is not delivered.

So order only if you are not worried much about time or money.

Few of my orders got stuck or not delivered and it was time consuming to get my money back.

26th Jan is approaching so it's better to stay away from ordering now. Customs are on attention during this time and considers everything as drone parts to be used for sabotage  :banghead:. So it's better to stay away till 20th. Even IDM is risky.

I got a SMS today from JD-SHPRKT saying "your order from SUDHIROPC is packed and ready to get dispatched" does that mean it reached India?

Enjoy !! Another SMS will be received in a day or two with a link for tracking info. Customs scare is over for you.

Thats what i wanted to ask, but i didn’t want to break my own rule of do not post customs queries.

What I have observed is that we can no longer order quads , rtf, kits etc anymore as the product itself doesn't load in their app.
Is there some workaround or is it a dead end ?

Dead end. Lipo, RTF, Helis etc will say "This warehouse can not ship to your location".  For some items IDM won't be available that you can order via other modes.

Its the beginning of the end of the hobby and something that suits corporations out for the "drone" pie in the sky.

Even a couple of years back you could order a V913 or V912 on amazon, flipkart even. But now they are no where.

I keep a daily check on these.... today only the rare species of V912 emerged in Amazon... if you want to order you can.

I alrealy invested on the ecosystem of v911 and v977. A heli needs accessories for continuous flight. I would like to order v912 but getting supply of spares might be difficult.

Yesterday I have received the same msg order is ready to ship but dint received any other tracking details . When can I expect it ? During this lockdown situation can we expect delivery ? How many days did it take your order to receive ? Which courier did you receive it ?
