Hello Guys,
I want to tell you about my experience on AliExpress i'm from india and How i got cheated and lost my money. I had ordered EverycomX7 mini led projector from its official store on AliExpress with order number 74187563962399. It took almost 1 month to reach to my city , i paid $79 for the projector with free shipping. It got stuck in customs and customs asked to to pay duty of 44%. I was even ready to pay the duty but Customs asked me to pay fine of $105, i said what??? The indian customs gave me the option either to pay the duty+fine or send it back to the sender. So i sent the package back to the seller(sender). I opened the dispute for refund with all this info, dispute process took almost 1month more within this time AliExpress asked me to wait for 7 days trice and only i responded to tge dispute every time...sellet didn't responded even once...still AliExpress closed the dispute in seller's favour, which clearly sgows that AliExpress and tge seller both are working together and don't value customers. And several times i even contacted customer service of AliExpress but even they mislead me saying wait for few days and all such bullshit things...even they never properly responded to my query about what is actually going even after sending the package back to the seller...one of the customer service guy asked me to raise appeal if I'm bot happy with result of the dispute so i did that too, but that also was rejected and seller didn't responded this time also. Again i contacted customer service about what happed..again someone told me that he is creating a report and describe the whole incident to the higher management team of AliExpress. And assured me that they'll help to overcome this issue. But again nothing happened, just lije there previous false promises.Now they are not even responding neither seller bor AliExpress.
At the end i lost my hard earned $79 and didn't recieve the item. But sure seller got gis package back and even money....
This is the last time i went to AliExpress. I'll never ever buy or spend a single penny on this cheating website and tell all my contacts to do so, even on social media i'll spread the words about this so noone else get cheated in future....
The whole process took my 4-5 months, my money, and mental harassment.....
I'm very pissed off with such behaviour and planned tactics of AliExpress and seller...
BE AWARE FROM SUCH WEBSITE, THEY ATTRACT YOU WITH LOW PRICE ITEM AND FREE SHIPPING AND THEN THEY TAKE YOUR MONEY.

Next time before entering into a contract read the terms

Customs procedures are buyer end issues. The store, shipper or seller does not have any stake in the decisions of local customs. They state that clearly in their T&C, this applies for almost all international stores. Rarely some good sellers provide refunds but that's not the norm. One cannot & should not expect such refund practices from every international seller.

An exception to this is those international items available on amazon India, ebay India etc. Here the store is supposed to handle customs, and they can because they've a local operation. But these stores won't have the kind of items we need and they will charge through the roof for whatever listings they carry.

OP, why should they give you any refund when their policies do not mandate providing one for a local issue at buyer end? The only bad thing Aliexpress did was taking you for a months long ride without any intention of refunding you. They should've flatly said NO in the beginning itself.

Doesn't seem like you're providing the entire story.

Aliexpress does not release payment to sellers until the buyer protection time has run out or you confirm that you have received your package. From what you've written, it seems like the seller got the money and then you lost the dispute to get it back. But how did they get your money in the first place? If the buyer protection was running out, you could have told the seller to add more time (sellers have done it for me many times) or you could have simply started a dispute saying you didn't get the package. Aliexpress in no way would release the money to the seller unless it shows delivered on tracking or you have confirmed you got the package.

It's very common that sellers will ignore you once they get their money. I have been cheated once or twice because I was not vigilant. The buyer protection ran out and I forgot to dispute the order saying I have not received it, so the seller got their money and ignored my messages from then on. But that was my fault, not the seller's.

Either provide the entire story or stop crying about it.

have had a good experience with AliExpress till date.  Never an issue which was not resolved.  Well I never purchased any item which needed some penalties or other things and asked the customs to return it.  So not convinced with the story...........

Well, before I could reply to Balakrishan Reddy the situation has been made adequately clear

I personally advise all not to import entertainment or telecom/IT related equipment. There is a ban on import without license, and at the least you will encounter severe penalties and duties. Remember, all Radio related equipment has a ban. 'Drones' too

Even modelling stuff, try to keep a single order below 500 gm and $ 40-50

Underinvoicing is NOT a smart idea. If Customs are suspicious, they can easily verify from Bank Transactions, websites etc. And then there will be stiffer penalties

Hello huys,
Sorry i was out for some reason and was not able to log in to rcindia.
So you mean mistake was mine not to accept parcle because of heavy panalty+duty?Huh? And despute was ongoing and i even had protection time period left...but AliExpress still didn't favor me. I sent the parcle back.. but they still didn't entertainment that thing... Seller never replied to dispute where it's compulsory to reply both the party to reply to dispute.
Will you guys pay 6000/- panalty for such reason that it's electronic and lable as$30 value?? These kinds of product are ordered from all over india and people are getting them...there is no ban on projectors then why panalty???
Well that's old story, new story is even after sending vack tge parcle in april 25th, the pacjage has not been delivered to seller... Seller said he will refund if he gets the package when contacted. But custom post never pick up phone and always says it takes 2-3 months to return the package but till now there is no update about the parcel.... I don't know what's all this the customs doing.....
Is there any way to check what happened to the package... Customs post is useless....never help for any issue....

1. Order through DHL, FEDEX or some courier where they provide good tracking and take responsibility of parcel - post is never reliable, even though you've a tracking number it doesn't mean that your parcel will not miss.
2. You cannot influence what the customs officer estimated about the product, it is your luck.

Post is not very good in our country but dhl and fexex are very costly..
But i want ro do something about my returned parcle, can anyone help me with this... Custom post is never pick up phone and when go personally they say it takes 2-3 months...but the parcel was returned on 25th April but it's not delivered yet, what action should i take to solve this. I can only get refund when seller recieve parcel... ahmedabad customs and customs post is very bad here in Ahmedabad.... I feel there main moto is to harrass citizens....

There are corrupt officials everywhere in the country. Even in post/customs, I don't want to give a negative thought, but there are chances that your content of the parcel might be stolen and replaced with a book of equal weight since you've chosen to return it. It may or may not reach your vendor. Now its just your luck. I would've recommended to pay the customs and at least get your parcel. Now anyway your money is at bet, you may win or lose.

This happened once for me, the parcel was a wireless camera from hobbyking, the parcel looked intact (EMS SPeedpost), but when opened, there was a Indian Customs book. It is clearly evident that the vendor couldn't have done it and some corrupt official has stolen my parcel. I couldn't raise any issue with Post master either since I accepted the parcel by signing.

Means there no way to track out my returned parcel? I'm so screwed..... Even post department not replying to phones not even recieveing.... And customs dept just keep saying that we have returned it now it's in post dept's hands... This is so ridiculous.... Even after so many months, no update about the package.... It was sent on 25th april as per customs records... Then after it just disappeared....

All my friends abroad have ordered drones, radios, all hobby items either from China Ali express or any other international market & have faced no such problem with customs troubling them with duty or fine.. I wonder how such a under developed country India has such a big problem with radios & quadcopters..

@aamin172001 - Was it a registered package? if so try tracking it.
If it was normal post, just forget about it and spend your valuable time on something else, if you're lucky enough, you'll get it.

Moreover there are no corrupt officials in the customs to steal your parcel

However the penalty levied on you
Is totally in the hands of the customs officer,If he/she is in a good mood You may get less or no penalty Else we may face an Unfortunate situation like aamin172001.

Not only rc goods are stuck with the customs.Even non rc goods are also stuck with them if it goes to a bad official . They ask you to pay a high penalty for no reason; Instead of paying a high penalty we prefer to buy a new one, after that It will be lying in the warehouse for some days and on a fine day it will be stolen by a corrupt official

Indian government has many hatred rules for its citizens but it lacks to have rules which must be strictly followed by its own officials


Moreover its all about luck.
 Else If you have a person working in the customs, you can manipulate him to clear your parcel
Or might be facing a situation where bribes are demanded

If you want to go by the rules.You should pay customs duties to get your parcel

We all are ordering such stuff to fulfill our hobby passion.. its so simple why so much of noise when some one orders a drone or a radio.. authorities here dose not wish to educate themselves can you imagine last time I faced such a problem the custom official at Mumbai said only 27Mhz is allowed as per the rules...I was returning from Singapore with my radio.  I said we cannot fly a plane on 27Mhz..  Such is the situation of these officials. How would you communicate with such people  Huh?

Like we can't not buy from abroad those products which are not available here or local dealer ripps off our money. I also have ordered quad 2 times but Customs stoped the package and i had to sent them back, and the were delivered, but this time official at customs was with very arrogant behaviour and this time only my package is not in radar.... I think he only did something with it.
And for let it go concerns, i can't do that, i want to know what happened to the package... Because that official showed me inappropriate charges duty fine to release it, i think he was expecting bribe from me, but i didn't take that path.

These people are always arrogant.. just like any other government office, only thing is they are well dressed with no brains... always trying to create problems.. & if one argues with such people they you may land in more trouble as they can do any thing.....
