Happy is a man whose hobby is his profession

Hello Guys

I have been designing and prototyping stuff in CAD since a long time now. Been thinking about starting a weekend course to teach the basics of CAD to newbies. With the rise of 3D printing and DIY culture in India, learning CAD would really open up limitless possibilities to you. You could design a part and then 3D print it yourself.

The software used for teaching would be Autodesk Inventor Professional and a free full version for 3 years would be provided. Does this seem to be a good idea ? Would any of you guys would be interested in this.

Cheers

So here is the list of topics on a broad level that will be covered.

  • Introduction to CAD
  • Basic concepts
  • Interface
  • Sketching
  • Part Design
  • Assembly Design
  • Drawings

CAD courses easily cost upwards of 12-15k. Will charge only Rs 1500 to encourage more people to learn.

Let me know if you guys are interested. Will proceed accordingly.
