Title: Custom-siezed aeromodels Post by: Aeroresurrect on July 23, 2012, 04:17:59 PM Yesterday, (22nd July), Times of India carried a news lots of custom siezed model airplanes are waiting disposal / auction at Mumbai airport. It also says bringing in toy remote control airplanes are banned and the remote Tx interferes with police communication network. It states that to import such items, prior NOC (No-Obj-Certificates) are required from Min of Communication.
In view of all this, what I want to really know is : Is aeromodelling (R/C version) illegal in India? Do we get a sanction to R/C flying if we join a club ? If I fly my planes at public parks / aeromodel meets, do I run the risk of getting it confisticated? (I have plans to build a modest sized hangar but such reports scare me ) !! |
