Yes it banned....but yet...we fly......self awareness is the only way to fly FPV drones in India .....if you don't disturb or damage anyones property.....you will have no trouble....but ....if someone gets pissed off.....then you are busted....so always try to fly in abandoned areas, with almost zero human population.... Showing off your skills and equipments will only bring trouble, nothing else

hey;
is your quad capable of firing missile?is it capable of military spying? is it capable of firing guns?
No?
Then Please Do Not Call It A DRONE.
What is wrong in calling the hobby item as a "multirotor"? or a "quadcopter"?
IF some police/ official asks you that what is it then what would you say? ??? ???
 (" sir, it is a drone!" )
Then there would be arrests; bribes etc.
Please lets stop calling mulltis' drones. >:( >:(
Regards

Ye you are right .....Multi-rotor and quadcopter..... Are quite furbished terms.....and general people won't understand...... But they are drones anyways....when you have FPV on it....and any remotely controlled UAV is potentially defined as a drone...and I also accept that calling them drones.....is potentially bad for the hobby.....coz people have a very different picture preset  on their mind when referred to as a drone

So what about the World DRONE Prix, DRONE Racing League, US DRONE Nationals etc.? Whether we like it or not, the fact is that right now the general public and media recognise multirotors as 'drones'. The focus should be more on safe and responsible flying as well as educating others rather than getting so hung up over a word.

every drop contributes to the making of the sea.
Lets just start the improvement of the hobby iIN INDIA by not calling them drones.
I know about: World DRONE Prix, DRONE Racing League, US DRONE Nationals
They are other countries. Ours is india. here DRONE is a very heavy word and the govt. and police take it very seriously.
These were my thoughts.
My Opinion. I am not forcing anybody to not call them Drones. small suggestions you know.

yeh thats the sad truth, they are still "working" on guide lines.... lets see when do they actually come out with "proper" guidelines coz i'm pretty sure these guidelines aren't gonna satisfy hobbyists like!
