you can use this type of gun to launch your R/c planes

you can make one yourself . the working principle is depicted in the image below

interesting thing...but sudden thrust may break away certain part or R/C model.............controlled thrust if possible in this can be used to launch the craft.
What Say experts.......?

I think the 'Rail Gun' as described in the book  "Concepts of Physics by Resnick - Halliday" was much different where it was meant for accelerating projectiles to almost speed of light (Super-Hypersonic) - Like the one showed in movie Transformer part II (around the end).

These two examples may not be purely the classic examples of Rail Guns. Never the less, its nice to see such development happening lately.

Planning to make a coilgun for a school project.Seems like fun.But there is a difference between a coilgun and a rail gun.
