I NEED YOUR HELP GUYS.....

SO GUYS THIS IS ABOUT MY LIPO BATTERY THAT I PURCHASED FROM ROBU.IN
3000mah 3S 30C

SO A MONTH AGO I BOUGHT THE BATTERY AND CHARGED IT ONCE AND
USED IT ONLY FOR THE CALIBERATION OF MY ESC's AND MOTORS.
I DIDN'T USE THAT BATTERY FOR FLYING ..WHY??
                                     BECAUSE IT GOT PUFFED SLIGHTLY FROM
ONE SIDE SO TALKED TO GUYS AT ROBU.IN ABOUT THIS AND THEY ASKED ME TO SEND IT TO
THEM SO THEY COULD CHECK, SO I DID
AND THEY GOT THE BATTERY AND TOLD ME THAT ITS WORKING COMPLETELY FINE
AND THE PUFFING IS NORMAL.
AND THEY RETURNED IT TO ME.

I GOT THE BATTERY YESTERDAY(27aug) AND I CHECKED THE VOLTAGE AND IT WAS 6.6V
THEN I PLUGGED IT IN THE CHARGER AND THE CHARGER DETECTED IT AS 2S AND NOT A
3S BATTERY. I WAS SHOCKED TO SEE THAT.

SO I CALLED THEM,, AND AFTER MANY CALLS THEY PICKED UP AND I TOLD THEM ABOUT
THIS THEY ASKED ME TO SEND A VIDEO AND I DID.
 
AND AGAIN TODAY I CALLED THEM AS I GOT NO REPLY YESTERDAY, AND I ASKED THEM
ABOUT IT AND INITIALLY THEY SAID IT WAS FAULTY EARLIER WHEN I SENT THEM, AND
AFTER THAT THEY SAID THAT IT WAS FINE WHEN I EARLIER SENT.
AND THEY SAID THAT THEY COULDN'T DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT.

I DID TALK TO MR.ATUL EARLIER WHEN I SENT THE BATTERY AND HE ASSURED ME
THAT THE BATTERY WAS COMPLETELY FINE.
IF THE BATTERY WAS "COMPLETELY FINE" THEN HOW DID IT STOPPED WORKING AFTER
THEY SHIPPED IT

AND HOW CAN THEY IGNORE MY PROBLEM AND REJECT TO REPLACE THE BATTERY
WHEN IT IS NOT MY FAULT.
THE BATTERY HASN'T EVEN BEEN USED TO FLY.

THIS WAS MY FIRST EVER EXPERIENCE OF BUYING A LIPO BATTERY AND THAT GOT SPOILED
BECAUSE OF ALL THIS.
I WONT EVER BUY ANYTHING FROM THEM UNLESS MY PROBLEM IS SOLVED BY THE REPLACEMENT
OF MY BATTERY PACK.

Pls post the picture of your battery.

I recently brought neo m8n gps from robu.in for naza m lite. It was faulty. I talked to them for return and they told me to send the gps. They checked it and returned my money but they took 10% of the returned money. Very bad experience with this site. They wasted my time.

How many days before you have bought the item? If it exceeds 15 days then they will not replace the product.

Even i bought a fake ftdi usb adapter from them 3 months ago and it's not working. I didn't try to get it replaced due to my inconveniences. It was my first time and is the last.

I JUST NEED MY BATTERY TO BE REPLACED OR GET A REFUND, AS I AM IN NO POSITION TO BUY ANOTHER LIPO BATTERY.
AS I HAVE SPENT ALL MY SAVINGS.

I wish I could help you but I can't do anything.
You can bug them over the phone. What else.
I had ordered some tracks for my robot once. Half of them were spoiled. I chose not to take action as they cost around 200 bucks.

pinak - if you left the battery near full charge for that long its going to puff .
any lipo will puff !

a golden rule for lipos is to discharge to storage charge.

Hi Saikat sir! The issue was the detection of the battery pack as a 2S pack instead of 3S. I suspect the loose connection of the balance leads.

I have just charged it once and that too for an hour and twenty minutes.
and in between I checked the voltage a few times.
And robu.in told me that this slight puffing is normal.

Its  not about the puffing either, its about me sending them a working 3s battery and receiving a 3s battery that is detected as a 2s.

Welcome to the LiPo world, these buggers need special care. If the cells aren't maintained at ~3.8V they can lose their charge over time and read 0V.

I've revived some lipos like yours, but it is a risky procedure. I recommend you wait for Robu.in to help you, but if you're really desperate you can try reviving it.

You need to identify the dead cell first. Measure each cell's voltage. You have 6.6V on your 3S lipo which indicates one of your lipo cells have discharged below their threshold and others might be ~3.3V.

You need to find a 1S LiPo with atleast 3000mah, as I found that's the safest way to do this. Ensure this lipo has about 3.3 to 3.5V of charge. Connect +ve of 1s to +v of the dead cell and -ve of the 1s to -ve of the dead cell, for only about 3 to 5 seconds. Don't let any wires get warm. Remove the connection and check the dead cell voltage again. It should have some voltage now, repeat the above until the voltage is above 3.0V. You can then charge the lipo normally using a balance charger.

I've had so many dead cells from old lipos.. believe me I still have a lipo from the year 2008.. and it works...YeA sometimes I discharge it too much ...but I have a old Chinese rc heli tansmitter that I use to recharge them up again...
Don't know about robu much..the little that I have ordered was good and works fine..hope they sort out ur issue.
But if you look at it from their pov...how do they know what a customer has done with the said puffed battery??
Its a 50-50 situation and one can't be too uick to blame them.
Try reviving The lipo..but it's puffed......damn......long story

the battery was delivered to me on 8th January,
and its working as it should.
