In hypersonics, more of thermodynamics come into play. to put it simply, skin temperature rise due to forward speed is called Ram temperature rise. Thumb rule formula is (V/100)² + ambient temperature. where V is speed in knots. 6 mach is approx 3600 knots (At that height) i.e 1296° F. Melting point of aluminum is 1220° F. Materials like Titanium and ceramics come into play here.
